Strongest Navy in the Game?

I’ve recently been testing out the battleship which I managed to get to 7875 HP and 64 attack with a fire rate 4x faster than a frigate (age 4 stats).

I’ve yet to test every ship with all cards and upgrades up to industrial but if there’s one civ that can deal with the battleship it’s the USA, whilst they lack a lot of cards compared to the british, with their age up which allows minutemen to boost ship attack I’ve got the ironclad to 3500 HP but with 312 attack and a fire rate of 2. If you send the hulk card you can get 2 of those ironclads and both have a 25% chance to evade each shot. You can also boost your frigates the same way giving them an attack greater than a triple carded british frigate.

So what other civs do you think have really strong ships with all dock techs and cards sent?

Lakota, inca, Aztec. The Lakota especially have a ridiculously strong navy - not only is it the largest by numbers, but the War Canoes are ridiculously strong. (Although I admittedly haven’t tested it recently, the Lakota can send Admiralty twice and the Fire Ceremony boosts the attack of canoes, and the Lakota big button tech in the Dock boosts boat siege by 25%.)

Interesting I’ll be sure to test them next. Just tried aztec and their tlaloc canoes got over 400 damage with 10 warrior priests and 15 vills on the water dance. Inca wasn’t quite as impressive but each chincha raft did about 150 damage(with all 3 projectiles) and you can get 18 of them, they’re also very cheap.

Aztec seem the strongest so far though and it’s quite reasonable to actually get 10 warrior priests on the water dance, even without vills the 10 priests alone bring the damage up to like 350 per tlaloc canoe.

EDIT:

Just tried the lakota and got the war canoe up to 308 damage, they do only get a couple of upgrades and only 10 war canoes, whilst the aztec can get those 10 + 5 tlaloc canoes and the inca 18 chincha rafts. You’re also forced to put 25 villagers to get those max stats while inca and aztec can use warrior priests and priestesses to reduce the amount of vills on the plaza and put those to gathering resources.

The US I think has the strongest navy in terms of total hitpoints. The reinforced hulls/juggernaut card for the ironclads is so sick I love it!

Responding to my own message to say that it appears that access to the Admiralty card has been removed for the Lakota. This is unfortunate, as that card was the only thing keeping them alive on water maps. Without it, their navy can’t rely on numbers the way it did before, and the Fire Ceremony has been nerfed in the past year.

So the Lakota navy is now probably bottom tier, if on the tier list at all.

It’s still considerable with a maxed out fire ceremony, over 300 damage each and you can achieve that with 1 card and a tech from the dock, the other civs all need to send water dance and have quite a few other upgrade cards.

War canoes are also very cheap, so I can definitely see it being viable to stop an enemy water boom, just building a sneaky dock, throwing 25 vills on fertility dance to get out the 10 war canoes then swapping to fire ceremony, quick way to destroy their water boom. The lack of a special plaza unit is unfortunate though, as inca and aztec need less villagers on there due to making use of their healers on the plaza.

I’d have said in terms of attack. They lack improved warships which most other civs have and that gives +25% attack and hp, though they have virginia oak which boosts sloops and frigates by 15%. Also steamers have their own card which gives +35% attack and hp making them tankier than the usa’s frigates by a few hp.

The age up federal card that allows up to 6 minutemen in each ship and each 1 boosting attack by 10% is another level though allowing you to boost each ship by 60% attack in addition to other cards and techs.

The ironclad card is incredible though allowing you 2 of them and both have a 25% chance to evade each attack.

Aztec, water ceremony, multiple cards, can BB to overpop tlalocs, and can ship their warships an age early. Crazy navy, and with fertility they just walk out of the docks

They are incredibly strong, nothing I’ve seen matches them so far. Only thing they lack is a long range attack for buildings like the monitors have. They don’t even need to use villagers on their water dance due to it being so fast to reach max warrior priests.

Admiralty dont give more limit to ships anymore, just become upgrades cheaper, so natives dont need them

They dont have a large attack as monitors but have a card for more range to their canoes. Tlaloc have a great one.

Only card I’ve seen for them is offshore support for +2 range.

it used to +5 on TAD and TWC. was ridiculous in age 2

But every civ had it so, where was the problem?? Also ships have to be paid

It was annoying to spend so many cards to get a full navy. If you didn’t put it in, you were at a disadvantage. Similar to schooners getting nerfed to increase flexibility.

i meant offshore support was +5 range, not admirality
