In fast games, sometimes your ovoo is depleted but because the alert pop up is temporary, you may miss it.
The pop up is a great idea, but i think a red ! above the ressources (like golden age), or near the stone stockpile may be a good way to say “hey look, you don’t have an ovoo, you forgot”
The Ovoo is a main part the mongol and GH civs, but these civs are played agressive, you often have 2 groups or cavalry of anything to harass the oppenent base from 2 sides, you may defend counter harass because you don’t have any wall etc. so it’s quite easy to miss if it pops at the wrong time.
Fellow mongols, what do you think ?

Haven’t played Mongol for a while, but I kinda remember there is an indicator icon showing how much stone left above ovoo, no? An icon that is round and looks similar to current Jiangnan Tower’s indicator. If no there can be one.
Indeed, but this indicator is on the map and only when you look at the ovoo.
However, the ovoo changes location, is often far from your other buildings (barracks , stables etc are used in hotkeys so you don’t really look at them) , no villager is gathering nearby or is idle when the ovoo depletes.
I mean something in the HUD should warn us about the ovoo
If you dont have an oovoo, i don’t think the game should tell you that. In the same way that KT should not get an alert when they don’t have pilgrims.
But I would also find useful to have a better notification system, e.g. a red indication above the oovoo, or even an icon on the map since sometimes your oovoo is far away and you’re not looking over it per se.
Definitely helpful idea! They do a sound alert for its depletion so long as you pay attention or check often enough!
Yes indeed, but just ONCE when depleted. And it often happens at the very wrong time
It is rare enough you can’t pavlov yourself into thinking to rebuild it.
Unlike the villagers, now, when i hear the “shhh ah” , i press H and produce villagers without even knowing i’m doing that haha
