The “Tiny” map size in AoE2:DE still feels pretty big to me. May we have a new “Mini” map size option added for Skirmish (unranked) games, for when we just want a quick 1v1 match vs. AI on a very small map? (And, obviously, suitable mini for multiplayer matches, as well)
I love having the very large map options, so don’t change those since I play them sometimes in mutliplayer.
But sometimes when it is late at night, I just want a quick match on a much more confined map… like half the size of “Tiny”

Or just add T90’s “Smallest X map ever” series.

I remember that at least at one time, if not even currently, the “Tiny” map in AoE2:DE was bigger than AoE3 and/or AoE4’s largest map. Think it was AoE4. So there is room to shrink it down a bit, imo.
A “mini” option for those who want to play the game how they want sounds good to me.
- If it is late at night and you want to go to bed soon, why can’t mini be an option to hopefully wrap a game up in 30 mins? Why must a 45-minute or hour long endeavor always be mandatory? If it is an evenly fought battle, that happens… especially if you play Conquest, disallow resignations, are a bit of a turtler, and play at a decent difficulty level.
- The AI sprawls out across the vast “Tiny” map, or becomes a bit nomadic, so you have to play whack-a-mole everywhere. (I’m fine with them doing that, by the way, and dont want that changed. I just want the land area in which they can do that in to be smaller, for the times when I want a quicker game.) I also don’t want to have to traverse quite as far to reach the enemy.
IMO, the current Tiny moniker is a bit of a misnomer. In 1v1 and 1v2 matches at least, it is pretty vast.
PS - I don’t lame boars. And I play vs. AI, so it would never be an issue for me. If you choose to play ‘mini’ and laming boars is your thing, go right ahead. Sounds like you don’t like that or wouldn’t want enemies to do it, though, so I have an idea: never play Mini if it becomes an option 
Problem solved. And please never make it an option for ranked games, as that will open a Pandora’s Box of backlash, non-stop balance and fix requests, and boar laming nonsense
My idea is for unranked private matches, and those matches alone.
