I find the confirm button completely redundant and slow things down, since all information is displayed completely to the right when you toggle your mouse cursor over the civ icons. Clicking the civ icons should just confirm the selection.

Yes! And sometimes if you’re in a hurry it mess you up, since you think you have selected a civ when you haven’t

Other controversial updated on the UI I actually kind of gradually get used to them now. But I can never get over the civ selection…
Risking being accused of necroposting… but is there any chance that this could be addressed in DotD?
I have yet to see a good reason for the extra click on the confirm button. You get to see the civ information when you hover your mouse over the civ icons anyways.

Agree. Feels like a minor thing but I have played with the wrong civ before because of that. Would be nice to have it removed since it seems unnecessary to have that feature in the game.
