[Suggestion (Request?)] Add correct voice lines to Goths, Italians, Byzantines and Aztec

We can infer it from how it was transcribed and how related languages are pronounced. After all the game uses other medieval languages. And linguists even went quite far for ancient languages as far as proto indo-european.

Overall it would be possible to get close enough.

Alternatively for the Huns, we could fully embrace the fact that JRR Tolkien used them as a major influence for Sauron (on the other side Theoden = Theodoric the Wisigoth) and make them speak black speech. Ash nazg durbatulûk

Not historical but we have to do with very limited sources :upside_down_face:

You can tag them here on the forum, but I doubt they will respond. The Italian of the mod should probably be revised. With the Sicilian they made a excellent job (https://youtu.be/gFS0Gc0M0ys?si=DlK1E2XqAkjFx7MH&t=602), so I would say that the development team will definitely have an external team to rely on for these things.

My reasoning is basically just this:

So they should speak a language that doesn’t sound like other languages. As far as I know, the AoE1 dialogue is just a made up nonsense language. (Although “erectus”, if that’s what they’re saying, is presumably Latin.)

Also a great suggestion. Not sure we have the required vocabulary in the Black Speech though.

I don’t think that would be allowed for copyright reasons, just like my sister-in-law, who is a fantasy author, isn’t allowed to use Tolkien Elvish, because it’s a made-up language created by one person, unlike an authentic language that developed naturally over centuries.
