I don’t know if anyone has suggested this already, but I think it would be interesting to have more visual variety in farms. Except for China and Japan, everyone has generic vegetable farms. For example, the Greeks could have wheat or olives, and the Aztecs corn, among many others. Seeing the wide variety of options in the Blood & Bones DLC, it could be customized in many different ways, like completely random farms.
There are potential additions that would take priority, such as new pantheons or fourth gods for existing civilizations, but I think it’s a simple visual detail that would add even more personality to the game.
I was definitely hoping specifically Demeter would have wheat farms since the promotion has heavy emphasis on her relation to wheat. This could be a visual upgrade she gets when her farms are upgraded to bountiful farms that support two villagers. They already have a wheat texture for her wonder, I feel like they could just reuse that.
and I agree with conorbebe, I would love if the Aztecs would grow naize with the chinampas upgrade!
Grapes for Greeks, Wheat for Egyptians, Cabbage for Norse, Rice for Chinese and Japanese (already there, could use improvement), maize pumpkins and beans (yes, the combination of those three) for Aztecs, and for Atlanteans a completely fictional fantasy plant.
I would also be cool if worshiping certain agricultural related minor gods could add a random chance for a farm to have a different crop. Like worshiping Dionysus had a chance to replace the wheat/olive farm with a grape farm.
or the option to sow potatoes or beans, these visual things are the ones they should be selling to keep the developers eating nice food, otherwise is just a visual thing that burn out the developer team
