Switching from Gamepass to Steam

Hey community,

I played AoE 4 with the gamepass, now iam about to buy it on steam, these accounts are linked since aoe2-times, does someone know if i loose all my progress when i buy and play it via steam?

Also do you know if steam starts the xBoxLive client or does it work with steam-only?

If you have a mictosof account, you should be able to connect it with the steam account, and log in game to savage all your progress.
