We dont even know the name of this DLC
Just two flags that I can google it in 30 seconds
I can bet that Devs haven’t done any work on this DLC
Not even build a project timeline
“Oh we’ve confirmed that we will add these two civs somedays in the future, so stop complaining about your community get ignored”
very sad 20 carateres…
Be grateful and respectful that they took such strong resolutions to mention AOE3 in 15 seconds when there is a more important mobile game they have to advertise because obviously unlike the AOE3 DLC someone spent time and efforts making it (imagine that!).
Yes, it’s very sad they continue to support a remaster of a 19yo game. Truly a tragedy, betrayal, and an example of indecency and malpractice.
If it was ready- they’d show it. They didn’t, so it’s not.
It’s safe to say devs are not ####### ## ##### ##### the whole day. Either it’s more work than anticipated, or the people on the team are busy with other things (AoM, hello) or just they started fairly recently.
ed: can somebody explain why ‘sit. on. a. bu.t.t.’ is censored? I even changed it from ‘a.s.s.’. Why this senseless automatic censorship is still not disabled on these forums?
Come on devs, give us nothing! The event kinda feel like those meetings that should had been an e-mail. They announced the DLC and then just show us only two flags
The stream is a bit of an embarrassment. Even for those after AoM content just get to see a couple of unit models. What the heck.
Learn how to have patience and how to hold the unexpected.
You think you’re smart man,the typical guy who likes to scold people on the internet, I was sad because they announced the civilizations but didn’t show anything they just put age 3 to fill the hole in the advertising schedule
tbf, it is expected. aoe3 is always ignored
What do you expect? AoE3DE is not really popular and they can’t give us everything.
I mean… the Steam page have more information from the game than the event, like are you releasing a new mode and don’t say anything in the stream?
It’s a clear statement of how little AOE3 DE matters to the company and maybe it’s just me, but the childish tone in which they speak to the audience almost seems like sarcasm. (I honestly find it offensive)
The challenge for AoE3DE fans who are happy with dlcs for any civs at all is impossible.
I’ve been feeling that since the very beginning. And I believe it’s large due to people in management objectively despising the game, because the game kept getting downplayed even when it was doing better, when it got new contents, or when there was an event for the “whole series”. When there was good support for the series we got the least good. When the support went bad overall we got nothing.
But then people either neglect it or justify it because “the game is not doing well”.
Just AOEII and AOEII 2 with a dash AOM.
sorry, I speak Portuguese, I think the verbs make no sense with translated sentences
From what I remember all previous “reveal” announcement of new civ at least includes how the Homecity looks like or a footage of their architecture and/or unique models. We at least know that the flag art of the civ was in game data since mid last year, so a concept or civ art was expected by the community, especially with how the wording is used in the announcement.
Yet the reveal is rushed and only show 2 flags, not even a name, and already I see people argue is it gonna be called Polish or Commonwealth. Perhaps if the news announcement said that “After making the game free in 2023, we are excited to reveal the plans for the game in 2024” then reveal it in the stream a new DLC is coming and the forum mood will not be this gloomy.
I heard that the AoE2 DLC basically an existing custom scenario “repackaged” as DLC which is more pricier than previous DLC with consists of 2 new civ and 15 scenario. This DLC contains 19 scenario, and only 5 is new map. As a player of both AoE 2&3, how the stream delivers is disappointing.
I’m still looking forward to how the new civ and AoM:Retold gonna be.
The stream overall was a shoot and miss. Nothing to do with aoe3. They really need to change the marketing strategy.
but this is the strategy. a strategy to pave path to finally put an end to aoe3de in order to save investors money.
