People keep throwing games with drophack desync to win them when they are losing to take the points and annoy the experience for the other players. I want to publicly report these players:
Dakii
Paparazzi Ninja
SageBridge23662
I hope the development team will fix this soon as it is very frustrating and punish people who are using these hacks, otherwise I see a bad future for the game.
Encountered it too, was just about to win a 1v1 and whoop, out of nowhere a never seen before desync error and the server reports the game as ‘no result’.
Edit: Not sure how this affects ranked points, despite not being listed as a win or loss, I do seem to have gotten points for it?
It should be included in the Roadmap. I stopped playing because I encounter this problem 3 games in a row. I reported the players but still playing, if you try to avoid the game vs the cheaters you have later to wait 5min/15min/30min to play again.
Is Relic aware if this problem? It has been going on since realease of the game.
Drophacking cheaters:
TT
T&T
are drophacking every single game they are losing.
I don’t know what takes in consideration for a win when drop hacked. I had gain a victory while other have a landmark down. Maybe points too will be take in consideration?
There’s no chance they or probably any devs of any game would put that in a road map like that.
If we’re being honest the road map is mostly useless. People asked for one a lot so they obliged, but keep it sufficiently vague that they can under promise and over deliver. It mainly exists to build a bit of hype without committing too hard to specific things.
Putting fixing drop hacks on there would not be a great look when someone randomly looks up AoE4 and finds the road map.
It also assumes they actually know how to completely fix it at this point they may not since they’ve said they’ve been working on it, but it’s still not fixed.
I do really hope it’s top priority though. I have maybe encountered it once (not even sure), but it sounds like some people are seeing it a lot more.
The main issue is it seems the devs do not care at all. I have reported all the players that drophacked the game so far and they are still playing.
If they can not fix it, they could at least have a team looking for the reports and banning the cheaters from the multiplayer game. I guest they can also run a software cheking the players who have no result games very often and ban them right? There must be solutions but it seems they dont care about it.
Fixing it doesn’t directly generate money.
The awareness (in the media) of this problem is quite small to non existent, hence the damage is small in the eyes of the Devs.
They don’t have time to patch the game adequately, that should be obvious, so they won’t tackle this problem adequately any time soon.
Sad but true.
It’s same to aoe3DE, I got drophacked by same people again and again even after reporting them.
And let me tell you, over there they patched things a 100 times more quickly and efficiently than here, they are still bringing changes to it, even though the 1 million super unique dlc civs have ###### ## the balance by now.
Microsoft just doesn’t give af about the community and they don’t wanna invest manpower into aoe4.
It could be an almost flawless game by now, but M$ doesn’t wanna invest sh*t.
How do you know it isn’t a legitimate disconnection/desync due to network issues? If it keeps happening to you, it might be your computer/network/connection, no?
It is a known problem that there are hacks to desynchronize the game, whenever it has happened it has been because we were going to win the game, clearly it is intentional, people do it so as not to lose and also take the game points as if they had won in a game that had a sure loss. When they do, it gets out of sync for everyone in the game, so it’s not my personal problem since it happens to all the friends I played the games with that got out of sync. In addition, as you can see from the comments, it is not something uncommon since there are many people who do it and many of us suffer from it.
