AOE-1 is from 1997 and maybe the graphics engine is even older. AOE-4 is last generation. If you look at the trend of AOE games, AOE-2’s scaling is better than AOE-1, and AOM’s is better than AOE-2, and AOE-3’s is better than previous ones. I hope they fix this at some point.
