Edit
I miss the Conquerors / Forgotten Empires type of expansion as it provided variety and could fill in parts of the map most needed while providing interesting campaigns. When they are focused on just one region it can be far less interesting (regional saturation), but of course makes sense when it comes to architecture sets.
List the 5 you would put in :
Tibetans
Khazars
Zimbabweans
Siamese
Vlachs

Gokturks
Somalis
Kanembu
If we get two more it could be Nubians/Songhai and Tibet
Would love to get a new Asian architecture, but we need so many new ones in general. By my count we need:
A new Mediterranean one
A new East Asian one
A new nomad one
An andean one
An eastern african one

Chichimeca (the first native american who defeat the Spanish and use horses for raiding)
Zimbabwean (to fill the area in South Africa)
Kongolese (to fill the area in Central Africa)
For other 2 perhaps Chimu people the Inca neighbour can also br added, they are one of the opponents of Inca empire and only got assimilated several decades before Spanish meet the Incas.
The last one would be Arawak people or Caribs

I think I also prefer the conquerors style
Now that we have so many regions covered - plenty of enemy civs for campaigns in each continent.
Having a one civ from each continent kind of approach is more interesting to me at this point.

Yeah and maybe two from a region if a new architecture was to be introduced like Aztec/Mayan.

I miss Tanguts, Tibetans and Bais. They should’ve been added, so I won’t put them in my list.

A bunch of ROR civs: Celts, Germans, Indians…
My dream setup for a while has been Toltecs, Chimu, Vandals, Songhai, Tai. Its a pretty worldly bunch that puts almost every unit into spotlight
Yeah, the Vandals are very underrated and have a north african kingdom lasting until 534. Alans too.
If theres ever a civ that could be at the crossroads of at least 3 regional units, it would have to be the Alans.
Mule Carts, Steppe Lancers, Dromons and possibly due to their Iranic nature, possibly Savar.

I’d split the overly abstracted civs:
North Europe:
Vikings → Jutes, Saxxons, Sampi.
East europe:
Slavs - Serbians, Moravians, Rus.
North Africa:
Berbers → Andulasians, Morrocans.
West Asia:
Saracens → Egyptians, Mesopotamians, Bedouins
Turks → Seljuks, Khwarizmians
Celts - remande as Geals.
Tatars - remade as Crimeans
Huns, Romans removed.
