The costs of reusing the power of god

Does anyone else think that the costs of using the power of the gods are poorly implemented? When I look at Greek abilities, in general the Greeks have excellent abilities in age 2 and 3, such as bronze, cease fire, healing and passage to the underworld, it really is fair the price they have to use it again, but what about the abilities in age 1 such as Zeus’ thunder that costs 55 favor to recharge, it is too much for what the ability is, no mythic is equivalent to 55 favor, it is never a good exchange 55 favor to kill a mythic or hero, it has reduced damage against titan or power hero, so it is not broken in that case

Hades sentinel, in age 2 they could be very good, but they do not improve as you age, so while you use it in more advanced ages it becomes weaker if your rival also advances in age, is the issue worth spending 50 favor for that? being that it is more useless if your rival gets stronger units.

The Norse had very strong gods that have been nerfed, but really one thing is the skills and another thing are the other bonuses of the two, maybe they over nerfed some things because the nerf path was not for the skills but for other things as bonuses, maybe I feel that they were also punished for this.

Maybe the cooldown of dwarven mine should be less, because I feel that it is a lot maybe it could be 90 - 95

Gullinbursti cooldown maybe 280 instead of 300

With Atlanteans I get the feeling that the cooldown costs little in many skills, I think that for example the strong case is traitor that steals any unit, it costs only 15, compared to zeus’s lightning bolt which is worse because it only kills, it does not steal and this costs 55? It really does not make much sense even though traitor is age 3 it is still very strong, because you can use it 3 times very beneficially

About the sentinels of Hades, I think it should also be usable in the fortresses.

But in general the fact is: the powers shouldn’t be recastable until they figure out a smart way to make them recastable. The game is critical unbalanced now because of that.

One way to balance this would be to make the divine powers weaker with each use. Zeus’ first lightning could remain as powerful as it currently is, but the second would be about 30% weaker, and so on for all powers. Fimbulwinter could be strong on the first activation, but on the second it would affect fewer town centers, and the wolves would be weaker. The restoration power could also gradually become weaker… and so on.

They are very unbalanced, specially because they put massive favor costs and low cooldown. The cooldown is not what stop the player from reusing a power (other than atlantean), its the favor cost. So we have very good powers with low cost like Restoration with only 80 and trash god powers with massive cost like Forest Fire (125 wtf)

Like you said, powers like lighting bolt have too high of a cost. They need to balance the powers more using the cooldown and less with the cost. The cost should be based on the impact, so Meteor and Earthquake indeed needs massive cost, but something like Lighting Bolt should be balanced on the cooldown. Very big cooldown but with a lower cost.

Gullinbursti for example have 180s cooldown but 300 cost. You will basically never be able to recast it, its too expensive, but if we give a massive cooldown like 600 seconds but a lower cost, players will finally be able to recast.

The Bolt have 90 seconds cooldown but its never relevant, as the massive 55 cost is what prevents players from using it. So again: reduce the cost and increase the cooldown massively to balance it.

I think they are fine, yeah with the favor of another restoration people could build 3 hydras instead, but you save on non-favor resources, and is instant.

And in pvp I’ve seen lots of expensive god powers being reused, at all skill levels. So, no, they are mostly fine, could see a few tweaks, sure, but that’s about it.

I mean… was AOM ever balanced ?

It is an acceptable mechanic to reduce the impact after the second cooldown, that mechanic does not exist in the game, also the issue with Fimbulwinter for me is that it affects all rival players, that in a certain way is unfair the more players there are, because it is an ability that affects everyone and not a specific point it is as if with Atlanteans they had 1 implosion + for each player or 3 meteorites, that is to say that in 3v3 you could use the ability 3 times for free, I feel that this is the biggest balance problem in that ability also the amount of TC because if a player gets 4 TC, UFF it is very damaging, I don’t know really it is difficult to balance that especially in team games,

I don’t think Zeus’ thunder should be made less powerful than everyone, it does not have much impact if it only affects one unit, for me just lowering it by 10 in favor of the cooldown is fine, the problem is that if you compare many costs among other powers it seems that the costs are random

Think Zeus bolt is fine. While 55 favor sounds like a lot, age 4 myth units cost around 25 favor and 300 resources, so around 55 resources. Additionally bolt is especially valuable for greek who doesn’t have easy access to heroes to protect their gold miners.

Hades sentinels are also very good since they don’t take pop, and you can use them remotely. You can also cast them at allies TC/Castle, making forward TC not such a liability. Imagine Freyr casting hill fort or kronos timeshifting palace foward, then comes the ZOMMMM sentinels out and suddenly enemy needs siege.

Gullinbursti is bit too expensive.

Traitor can’t be compared to bolt, because what you have to compare Behemoth to other Age 3 myth units, and Traitor to other age 3 godpowers. It is obvious that lot of the Power Budget of Rheia is in the traitor, allowing gods like Kronos to get 3 myth unit advantage if hitting heroic age at same time with opponent.

???, you seem to be a hater of the Greeks, to be honest
