Don’t let anyone tell you to shut up

Emphasis on “literally”. Like literally literally.
maybe you should all caps “literally” in the title.
IDK about the rest of you but I intend to re-double my efforts.
Exactly, just put literally in all caps on the title
I really hope this means we’re getting some sort of compromise
I expect they give us Jurchen, Khitan and Chinese campagins for “free” maybe even voice lines for Jurchens and Khitans
Sadly I don’t expect much to be done about the 3K and Khitanguts tho
The best you could do is rework them to be more of a civilization, theres 0 chance they will move it to chronicles and 0 chance they will take it out of ranked.
Request granted. World’s Edge, you suck. You betrayed the AOE3 community and defrauded the AOE2 community.
I think think telling them anything is worth much at this point. Since all they’ve done is ignore what the community has wanted before making the DLC.
Like I understand a company will go towards the lowest common denominator in turns of making Profit and 3K was that. But after this DLC is a fools errant to believe they’ll ever listen or compromise.
Maybe they just enjoy the Persian Architecture memes
They will have quite some time to enjoy them as I have no intention to stop.
Fun video (and song). I wonder if player numbers are down? Seems like I’ve had to queue for longer than normal since the DLC released.
Steam Charts says no (could still change, mind you):
So V&V2 added a lesser number and percentage of players than V&V or BFG.
But I was told the sales numbers were wild.
That’s actually hilarious.
Now I think we are starting to see the bigger picture. This DLC hasn’t sold “well” only as well as average, if not a bit less. No wonder the devs are making noises about people keeping engaged. Because the lack of sales from people who don’t want the 3K civs has made an impact!
I’m sure Masmorra will praise the DLC again at the next podcast. I love that format, but it’s not so impartial
Yeah after they tried defending V&V by saying people just couldn’t read I stopped watching for the most part.
I did watch the cysion episode…….regrettably.
Keep in mind, Valve is still about to share the weekly charts for last week, so we then will see how TTK has performed.
Edit / Update: the weekly charts are out and the DLC ranks #71 global, which means, it generated more revenue than BfG and V&V that both were not in the Top 100 weekly.
Last 30 days is overlapping with April; too early for a full month’s comparison yet.
I was simply responding to a question about the playerbase decreasing. That doesn’t seem to be the case, at least (though obviously no data on ranked vs. skirmish / SP players).
Yeah, the three kingdoms will not be moved even from legal reasons people that payed the dlc will refund it if they are taken out, what will happen maybe is they’re adding new civilizations for free for people that payed, Tibetans and everyone else, to calm them down.
There’s a disclaimer about contents changing. No one could sue MS.
However I think the backlash from certain fans would be nuclear.
I think adding 3k was the worst decision in the game’s history, but in a vacuum I really couldn’t blame those fans for hating removing 3k. You’re given something then weeks/months later it’s taken from you, but you still paid for it. Let me re-iterate, I think 3k is the worst thing to have happened to the game EVER and I don’t think removing 3k at this point is practical.
I think that’s why the optimal plan for everyone is to make 3k as ignorable as possible. allow for people to ban up to 5 civs. even in a 4v4 and everyone bans 5 different civs, then there are still 10 civs left.
making so you can remove civs from ui, adding more appropriate content, some…almost certainly not apology but commitment to better communication would all be appreciated.
But a civ ban gives us 3k objectors most of what we want without taking anything away from anyone else.
Maybe the backlash wouldn’t be too bad if they replaced 3k with three appropriate civs. There would still be some people that absolute hate it as much as many of us absolute hate the inclusion of 3k.
