The economic nerfs to Poland and Denmark were implemented incorrectly

remove the tobacco card and remove the Krakow card aply to property…It was a poorly planned nerf.

The problem with those civs wasn’t gold gathering, it never was.

agrariam reform was the problem and still is.

The problem is the food collection and the infinite trade.

Same thing as Denmark, Sami + cow boom + trade and agrarian reformt hey are still a problem.

Removing tobacco makes no sense when the problem is food procurement and agrarian reform.

They made huge nerfs to pig, folwark and church, is this really still a problem?

Some changes since I made this, namely on the Folwark rate (Kielbasa should still be great in treaty due to it needing no vills to gather, but I’m ignoring that for calculations).

Mill: 0.67 * 0.7 = ~0.469f
Rice F: 0.5 * 1 = 0.5f
Farm: 0.5 * 1 = 0.5f
Folw: 0.60 * 1 = 0.60f

Rice C: 0.31 * 1 = 0.31c
Estate: 0.5 * 0.7 = ~0.35c

I’m going to use a Farm as the generic to compare the Folwark to, and the Estate rate for coin, even though a little randomness is added by walking.

100f costs 200vs on a farm.
100f costs about ~166.6659vs on a Folwark.
100c costs about ~285.8vs on an estate.
80c costs about ~228.64vs on an estate.

This means the trade is a ~42.9% VS gain for Inca.
This means the trade is a ~37.18% VS gain for Poland.

This leaves out the roughly 0.144c per second on each vill while gathering on a Folwark. I think Poland is still strictly better on a farming + trading than Inca (partly for reasons outside of the eco math). 1.44f and 0.144c is also still better than Aztec’s farming rate of 1.53f (the best in the game?) and you have over 2 factories and unit discounts and the pig eco, and access to artillery and a solid skirm that got buffed for treaty (trains faster).

Removing Cigar Roller and the other estate nerfs does nothing to Poland really. Outside of maybe team.

If we look exclusively at farming rates and consider the Current Rate Buff from Wodka as a +10% to base rates than a Polish vill is worth ~1.32 vills (down from ~1.518 vills). Running the French vill calculation then gives you a vill cap of ~76. That’d be a bit too low and wouldn’t be something I’d advocate for (for a number of reasons) but there would still seem to be a case for 85 (which I have suggested). Though I now think maybe just leaving it at 99 (or maybe go to 95) and normalizing Farming Folwarks to 0.5-0.52 would be better. Also, you could revert the estate nerfs. They largely don’t matter unless I’m overlooking a revolt thing.

Late game Piechurs still really concern me. They do ~60% more damage before armor to skirms, cost less, have higher speed, range, and base damage (though they are worse vs heavy cav at least) and now they train faster than they did. The whole “they should train faster” seemed to mostly be paired with some kind of nerf. After CIR their lower DPS vs heavy Infantry largely goes away.

Anyone feel free to double check my math. I make no guarantees.

For Denmark, I pointed out that it doesn’t seem to matter that they removed Cigar Roller, though they nerfed the MM units so it wouldn’t surprise me if the civ ends up being okay-bad in treaty now for other reasons. Your mainline army seems all-around slightly better than average (though lots of civs make heavier use of a few more upgraded things) except for the better skirms and dragoons, but the extra range doesn’t seem as strong in treaty battles for a skirm with lower raw stats. Did they nerf it right for Treaty? Maybe not. Is it fine now? Maybe. If you follow through to the topic quoted right above this I talked about much of the Denmark changes, though not from an exclusively treaty POV. I had been really liking 1v1 Sup Denmark but my poor poor snaplock…

Edit, For Denmark I think the MM nerfs were executed poorly. I think it was mostly done for treaty but the execution probably hurt them more in Sup and in kinda weird ways in treaty. For the infantry MM, just cutting in half the boost from CIR on them and reducing the arty multi may have been fine. Or nerf the impact of the techs or something. The base unit nerfs hurt a bit and seem unnecessary in 1v1. The techs could have been made cheaper and weaker but one got more expensive.
