The game is dying

After some time, I decided to play the game…and already regretted it. Apparently now developers don’t care about anything at all except profit. No one reads the forums and they don’t care about the opinion of the players. So the game was not a model of balance, but after the introduction of “new” civilizations, the game pulls to vomit. Joan of Arc, which is 3 times stronger than default France, Tzu xi - who is already putting locks at 5:30, and the impenetrable Order of the dragon…I don’t even know what the point of playing “it” is anymore. Alas, with this approach, there can be no question of any game. I deleted the game on the 2nd day after I installed it again. Unfortunately , the developers have turned the game into a money squeeze . similar to WoW. we all know what happened to the game after that. apparently, the same thing is waiting for the Age of Empires.Until significant adjustments are made, I do not plan to play, and I do not advise anyone. I don’t see any point in supporting developers with money and buying dlc

I had a good time, I don’t understand the definition, The game is dying, then you have to observe, that if you are a developer, give priority to reading articles, where you can find more people, since not many people look at the forum: I played the old civilizations and continued to win.

then by the end of November, a patch should will have to come out, I don’t think JD is as op as people say, people just don’t know how to play it.

Can’t really say game is dying when it is at the highest playercount since the release of Ottomans and Malians, which was also a free to play weekend and that is without counting anyone on Xbox now. Also there are more players now than anytime other than the first like 2 weeks of release (where it was overhyped and all the AOE2/3 players were trying it)

OP really doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

The dev have been very much listening to the community in past 2 years, they have added so much.

HOW in hell is the game a money squeeze when you pay and get the content forevre + free updates and patch? I dont even understand how you can compare to subscription games or in app purchase… This game doesn’t have any of that. It makes no sense.

Probably troll post or pure ignorance.

Perhaps you misunderstood me. I don’t mean that the game is not played, but rather something else. I wanted to say that because of the complete imbalance, obviously losing games have now appeared. After all, given the same directness of hands, a player from a weaker nation will hardly be able to do anything against those whose nation is stronger. How can you win if you are significantly inferior to your opponent? Maybe I’m wrong, correct me.

PS
You are right, a lot has been added over the past 2 years. But I don’t understand why add a lot of new nations and much more when there is no possibility of reconnecting to the game (loss of connection = loss), although in any cooperative game this exists, and for a long time, and from patch to patch, no one plans to deal with balance civilizations. Of course, the game is not as monetized as subscription games, but still, why fix something that is already selling, right?

The game is getting balance patches almost every month and I don’t know what you’re talking about. The new content was released less than two weeks ago.

Civ balance doesn’t matter much at lower levels, you’d lose with any nation.
If you don’t believe me try the best one.

I must be rediscovering America for you, but it is at the very beginning that these advantages play a decisive role. in the later stages, when Jeanne, who is already Jeanne is a cannon or Jeanne is a knight, and it is simply impossible to kill her WITH NOT a large number of armies, you can’t do anything with pushers, as usual, it is impossible to repel the attack of the French. because Jeanne kills solo 4-5 guys with pikes, without the help of cavalry. we have to build archers and try to do something about it. I understand everything, there are probably strategies for how to resist THIS, but why should I dodge in order to survive- when a person just buys an addon for money, and gets everything for free. I remind you that Jeanne is a HERO who is difficult to kill, who gives a lot of damage and heals friendly troops. show me who else has something similar. I do not deny that they can be defeated, but friends, will anyone really deny that now playing for the same Ottoman Empire, it is IMPOSSIBLE to oppose something to Joan of Arc, unless a weak opponent or a disabled person plays there.

Oh, yes, I completely forgot. Maybe someone else is calling for free riders and a cannon on the battlefield…

While Jeanne, Ayyubids, Ottomans, Mongols and probalby Zhu Xi are moderately overtuned atm, and Byzantines probably a little too weak (nothing egregious and game has definitely had worse balance states), this is extremely normal in any competitive game upon a large DLC. That and we are going to be getting a balance patch in like 2 weeks or less.

Also Jeanne does have civs she performs poorly against like Mongols and Ottomans (in particular Ottos crush her)

Game is also doing the best it has ever done in it’s history when it comes to playerbase (only time it had more players was the first 2 weeks of release when basically every RTS player tried it out)

Can we just close this topic? the game is not dying and I see no point in it continuing further as it contributes nothing for the game.
