Maybe block use Temples and Docks, It cant prevent you advance but in that timing is very unbalanced u need to produce units or deliver food from ships. Other idea have cooldown to use it in first time. It’s kinda free win. It’s like an old zeus bolt in ulfsark, they fixed it, you start so far behind of one archaic gp.
i personally agree with this. i am personally happy they nerfed shifting sand with retold and i would be happy if they nerf deconstruction to not be available at the very early game. (also happy they at least slightly nerfed Pegasus - i think it should train even slower or be a bit more expensive)
Issue is from a design point why you give a god a tool it cant use?
From a balance point, that kills strategy and kronos toolkit
From a subjetive stand point what is early game for you? Standard Rush is either 3:00 or 3:30. Most civs age up 4 min. Most lesser good players age up 5 min +
Currently theres only 1 civ that heavily struggles with the Rush. Would rather give them better tools to defend it so its mor actual back and forth than to remove the whole dynamic from the game but thats my take on it.
when i think about it, you are totally right. it feels annoying and sometimes unbalanced but its his archaic age GP and all GP should be available to their specific time. the only option would be to change it or replace it but this would totally upset not only the Kronos mains but also hardcore nostalgic folks.
Anyway in this regard you are definitely right and i am wrong.
I think the easiest solution is to prevent it from working on temples. Call it a gentlemen agreement between gods
