The new AI is not as intelligent as the previous version; it has become much more rigid. In custom maps, the AI from the previous version made relatively reasonable choices regarding attack targets. However, this version’s AI will mindlessly choose to go around walls. Even when a wall is right in front of it, the AI will still take an extremely long detour, even if the target it wants to attack is just behind the wall, which is clearly illogical.
This characteristic has also brought about new pathfinding errors. There’s a chance that the AI fails to determine its pathfinding logic, causing it to wander back and forth in place.
The most intolerable issue is that the AI has a new major logical error. For example, when there are two layers of walls, the AI might break through one layer but, unlike the previous version, fail to continue advancing to attack. It might even return to the town center to take a huge detour, simply because it found a gap on the other side of the map. This is truly ridiculous!
I think the AI from the previous version was already perfect!
