52%×1.20=62.4% but hack armor says 47% it decreases instead of increasing.
This is actually the intended behaviour.

The UI displays ‘Vulnerability -20%.’ It also states that it increases hack armor resistance. This does not appear to be the intended behavior.
At 00:08 in the video, the hack armor is lower than before using the ability. However, the UI displays ‘Hack armor resistance increases’ and ‘Vulnerability -20%,’ which effectively corresponds to an increase in hack armor of 20%
This is probably a UI issue.
In the french localization it correctly says it lowers resistance, which matches the intended effect.

The answer is simple : the oni was using its special ability that, indeed, decrease their armor. The tech applies correctly, I verified in the game files.
Btw your maths are wrong. -20% armor vulnerability isn’t 52 X 1.20 it’s 52+(100-52) X 0.20 = 61.6%.

No. As I said and as you should know if you play AoM regularly, Oni have an ability called Rampage that makes them bereserk and reduce their armor.
When you click on your unit you can see the one with less armor has a red aura, leftover of its ability.
The technology isn’t the ability.
IU is wrong…. Is iu bug. The displayed info in the IU says it decreases vulnerability hack armor and increases hack armor resistance.
As we do not read the code as you do, we read the wrong IU that need to be corrected
I uploaded the video where you can see in Spanish that the IU says “increases hack armor resistance” “incrementa la resistencia al daño cortante”
It’s probably both correct.
The ability, which is what I assumed you were talking about, is supposed to reduce resistance and the UI does show that in french anyway.
The upgrade does improve hack armour, but it doesn’t have any effect on the ability which continues to lower armor.
