The Rocket carts (Korean siege) are working as intended?

They are melting cavalry, archers, HC and they trade well vs onagers. They have a huge range, very accurate, very fast. How we are suppose to counter them ?

I am talking about the new Korean siege, not sure if the name is correct in English.

This one :

Mate that’s a Rocket Cart, which Chinese, Koreans, Jurchens and Khitai get instead of Mangonels. The War Chariot is the unique unit of the new 3K civ Shu.

It seems OP

Damn, it’s totally OP. So frustrating

It is called Hwacha in Korean. As the forerunner of the MLRS weapon system, it was developed in the 14th century and deployed in the 15th and 18th centuries. The developer himself created everything from development to operation by himself, by Munjong, the son of King Sejong.

And by the way, there’s also the Moonjong Hwacha , which has a similar role to the modern heavy machine gun, and there’s a number of other models. It’s about as powerful as Claymore, which appeared 400 years earlier.

But the appearance of the flower car is as bad as the turtle ship of the last time

this is basically magonel reskin, of course they would melt any unit they touch like magonel.

Improved you mean ? Or Siege onager reskined, not mangonel.

And for your information, there was a huge difference in killing power depending on what kind of arrow it was. There was also a Konggreave rocket and a Shrubnel thing in Joseon. It’s called the Great Singijeon. Of course, the difference between power and killing power was 180 degrees.

I think there is an error in your information, the weapon was invented in China in dinastia ming and later arrived in Korea where the Corea people improved it.

Characteristics of Chinese ‘Hwacha’

  1. The originator was to load gunpowder weapons onto continental tanks that were used on a large scale when dealing with mounted peoples in China. (It is practically like a battle wagon.)

  2. The gunpowder weapons and carts were separated, and each production, transportability, and responsiveness were emphasized.

  3. It is very difficult or inconvenient to control the angle because it is simply important to load gunpowder into the battle wagon.

  4. Combining gunpowder and carts, fire trucks emphasized their charged function mainly for attacking walls and gates.

  5. It has developed its function as a barricade that is transported and assembled on a large scale, piled up on a wide plain, and driven away the enemy.

Characteristics of Joseon-style ‘Hwachae’/ ‘Hwageo’

  1. It is assumed that the cart blocking the enemy’s entry on the Korean Peninsula was the originator. (Censorship, etc.)

  2. More delicate developments were made in the process of refining them into “towers” for machine guns/missile firing rather than combat carts that charge the specifications of firearms and carts.

  3. Launcher-type fire trucks were advantageous for angle control and large-scale curvature.

  4. Launcher-type fire trucks are different from Chinese-style fire trucks

Otherwise, it was a size that could be controlled by one or two people.

  1. Large fire trucks wore heavy gloves and developed into mobile bunker artillery towers that were advantageous for defense as soldiers came in and out of Joseon’s topography. Again, the development of the function of the artillery tower rather than the original purpose of the cart was a characteristic of the fire truck that was considered useful in the topography of the Korean Peninsula

In addition, China’s gunpowder and weapons manufacturing methods were “strict state secrets” at the time, so they were not easily informed. Even the feudal lords didn’t know it easily. So, there was no other way to develop a new weapon than to develop it on their own.

So did technology imitation. It was a “state secret.” So most countries that developed their own technology only sold finished products without telling them how to manufacture them.

In the first place, imitation is only possible with knowledge of the technology.

Above all, the specifications of the powder keg are different between the Chinese and Korean styles. As you can see, there was a risk that the gunpowder weapon at this time would not fly if it did not comply with the standards written in the book, or that the powder keg could explode, so if the standard of the powder keg used in China was used in Korea, it is highly likely that it would have exploded because the standard did not meet the standard.
