Issue:
The sound of soldiers screaming when they are caught by kappa and spiders can bug. They keep repeating themselves in the place where they appeared.
This bug may appear later in the game, long after the power has been cast and units have been killed.
When it happens, it’s extremely unpleasant, preventing players from staying in a certain area of the map for too long without going crazy. It’s even more annoying when this bug appears in a player’s base.
This bug occurs very often in our multiplayer games. We encountered it four times in ten games.
The sound is also heard by other players.
Trigger Event:
The sound bug appears much later after the power Spider Lair or Swampland has been cast. And after units were killed by these powers (sometimes a good 10 minutes later). But it always appears in the place where it was cast.
It is likely that a accumulation of this same power in this location or on the map can cause this bug, but we are not sure.
Repro Steps:
- Play a multiplayer game with friends and AIs.
- The AIs or players cast the powers of Spider Lair or Swampland at a location on the front line.
- Units are dying because of this power.
- (Maybe optional) The power is recast by the same player or another player on the map.
- Wait a few minutes later
- The sound of units screaming reappears and plays on a loop at the location where the power(s) were cast.

NB: You need the “Dwarf Berserker Unique Visuals” mod to play this recording. However, the mod is not the cause of this bug, as we had it in previous games without any mods.
But the recording abruptly stops at one point. Around the 31-minute mark, I would say.

Nb: The Gaia AI used the power Spider Lair in the middle of the game when we were in its base. A few minutes have passed since then, the Gaia AI has given up, and we are starting to attack the other AIs to the north. And this bug appears at that moment, every time we look into the old Gaia base. The sound reappear and is played on a loop.
