But this is not a beta. And if it’s not; don’t give it to people to demonstrate.
Yeah. The main article about the DLC itself also mentions the files for the scrapped China DLC as well.

“Finished” as in, it doesn’t have enough content? Then you’re right, it’s not finished.
“Finished” as in, are they selling it as a finished product, regadrless of it’s state? Then no, Microsoft is presenting this is a full, finished product. How I love AAA game companies…
If the DLC was finished then why would they wait so long to release it?
Also they gave access to every DLC for content creators beforehand.
The Chinese were added to AoMR just a week before the DLC but there was still a patch on the release day that did some balance changes and fixes to the campaign.
You think they’ll do nothing for the next 3 weeks?
I’m starting to feel like you guys are looking to find reasons to hate the devs at this point.
Perhaps because the conversion to PS5 wasn’t finished and they wanted to coincide it?
Perhaps because they felt they needed to hype it up after announcing it? (Funnily that has not happened)
Or perhaps they just didn’t?
There are many potential answers, and I doubt we will know which one it is.
I don’t know what they will do for three weeks, that’s kinda the thing with a company I am not inside.
I’m not looking for a reason to hate the devs. If anything, after seeing the scrapped files, this looks less and less like a problem they had a hand in.
If you would look through the files of other DLC like this you would likely find things that changed during development too.
Game development is not a straight line where you just add features. At some point in development they changed their mind on s. Maybe they planned a Chinese campaign at some point in the past but then changed their mind, yes and?
They considered adding Tibetans and Habsburgs to the Conquerors and we still don’t have them to this day.
The list of cut content is massive, why should this DLC be an exception?
Because this time what they replaced it with is not something the community wants, or even was asking for. Just a cheap cashgrab.
And the reason the cut content is so important is because it answers why so much has been chopped-up and cut from the Khitans and Jurchens.
They made the biggest DLC ever, how is this a cash grab?
Just because you don’t like the content doesn’t make it a cash grab or lazy or whatever.
Every DLC for DE had some pretty big issues with it like Armenians having the totally wrong civ bonuses and pretty unrelated UUs.
Now you are trying to look everywhere to find the smallest detail to get more reasons to hate the 3 Kingdoms DLC.
Breaking the fundamental ways civs have been designed for over 25 years just to try and cash in on the Three Kingdoms period.
Two of the civs have serious corners cut. Of course it’s a cash grab!
I don’t need to look anywhere to hate this DLC. I am looking everywhere to find more details about it and why we have this mess.
Every DLC has broken some “rules”.
The DLC has a whole of 5 civilisations.
Also I do think that all of them are well designed and interesting gameplay wise with them having a lot of interesting new mechanics.
Reused pngs in the history section really don’t matter, no one noticed for a week.
You guys are still making up the wildest theories because of a few game files names.
Not like this. And never so severely and blatantly.
I’ve NEVER seen the community so angry before on every single platform. Perhaps accept that people do not like this DLC and do not want what it contains in the game?
The Khitans are using units from a civilisation thousands of miles away that they share nothing in common with…
How is spotting that the files are with the Chronicles ones, and the art-style being like Chronicles a wild theory?
Wouldn’t be possible to write a letter to the Devs or something? I think they have an email address at our disposal, I remember writing to them for some bugs and I did not use the best tone but they replied at least (even if they solved like 1 issue out of 5).
Because after all complaining here won’t take us much further, at least an attempt could be made.
The letter could have the form of a petition, like collecting signatures (?) idk.
I think at this point they are well-aware. The question is if they actually do something.
Of course that is possible. The only question is, who from the team will receive the letter?
I did the same but also for general requests, however, I never received a response. I also wrote to Forgotten Empires and they are responsible for this 3 Kingdoms DLC. The question is, should you write to someone specific from the team? Then perhaps a response will follow.
Since you post a lot in the forum and often write long texts, you would be suitable to start this petition.
That would certainly be helpful. One vote alone is never enough. There have to be many, as is the case here in the forum.
It’s the PlayStation 5 start… I just realized it.
That’s why if was rushed. They wanted the new dlc ready for the PS5 start.
THAT’S IT! How could I have missed that haha.
Well, now they botched it and have enraged the community because of a race to the finish line.

Is this @Apocalypso4826?
Nope, wasn’t me. I’m busy doing other things, like looking at the new Castles and elite unique unit skins.
I mean, peeps in the wiki have eyes and ears and are also mad about he DLC. Check the comments section onthe DLC page.
No community website likes this; even the subreddit, except a few reddit users who are mad people are mad.
I just watched Ornlu’s video on the Jurchens. The comments are angry. Like, lots and lots of people.
The easy way out for the devs at this point is probably to just take these civs off of ranked. I don’t think a backlash for that would be in any way comparable to how angry people are now.
I’d happily pay what they are asking for now for Jurchens, Khitans and a Chronicles-style 3 Kingdoms campaign. Wouldn’t be perfect, but still miles better than what we have now.
I find it interested that the Khitans are pitched as a horde / steppe civilization but that their UU is an infantry unit.
