The Viking Sagas: From World's Edge to Forgotten Empires?

Don’t let older DLCs get pushed to World’s Edge, only to become Forgotten Empires.

Every DLC becomes part of the game once released. It is not a one-time product that should be forgotten when the next DLC arrives.

1. The Viking Sagas: Open Test Before Release

A broader Open Test, similar to AoE3, could help identify balance and gameplay issues earlier. DLC should not be released just to maintain a schedule.

Quality should come before release timing.

2. The Last Chieftains: Don’t let Ranked become the testing environment

Champi Warrior is still being adjusted, showing that more Open Testing could have helped before release.

Ranked should be a place for finished content, not where players experience unfinished balance changes.

3. Three Kingdoms: Don’t let older DLCs fade away

Three Kingdoms is already at risk of receiving less attention as newer DLCs arrive. Small and reversible changes, such as renaming civilizations to better match their historical identity, could be a useful first step.

More importantly, how Three Kingdoms is handled could become an example for future DLC improvements.

I am not asking for fewer DLCs. I just hope each DLC gets enough time for testing, balancing, and refinement.

Yes, an open beta for the DLC in November would be great…

Exactly. DLCs are not one-time products. Once added, they become part of the game and require long-term support. A broader open test could help both the players and the developers.

Sometimes it feels like: “WE require more minerals.”
But they also need more workers mining, instead of expecting more minerals without investing in those workers.
