In the old Soviet documentary about Ushguli I saw yesterday, it showed the people of the community using the towers to defend against barons trying to tax them (as one does). Their method of defense was to lift stones up to the top of the tower using ropes and then having someone chuck them down to the ground from the roof. Could the devs have seen the same documentary or otherwise come across the same information? Could that be the reason that Georgian towers fire piercing arrows that land with the same sound and dust cloud that stones fired from siege weapons do?
