Things I want to see in the next patch:

I disagree - a Roundhead (i.e Palimentarian) armed with a Halberd doesn’t make sense. Roundheads didn’t really use Halberds unless they were NCOs, plus by having one unit in the fairly broad roster as full-on Palimentarian unit, it makes the unit list a little disjointed. Roundhead is just a nickname Royalists gave the opposition and doesn’t really mean any particular troop type.

A British Billman in Tudor-esque attire would work better, especially if there was some kind of link (shipment/synergy) to the other archaic Tudor unit, the Longbowman.

If you want them to be modernised via some kind of shipment or whatever (as is the trend), then have a ‘British NCOs’ card or something to turn them into polearm-armed officers.

…but this is of course not really in the scope of a patch

(British Manor aesthetics are though!)

The new minor factions do not upgrade for free based on age with the African civilizations.

Yes, I like the idea…

Give the turmoil in the industry I’d like to see a meaningful, aka not just a handful of bugfixes, patch.

The Malta church tech “Teutonic Knights” should change all hospital Knights to Teutonic Knights.

And yet we have a Halberdier unit that’s already a representative of a specific officer rank that can be trained en-masse…the Russian Poruchik. (Incidentally the Rekrut is also guilty of this albeit to a far lesser degree, as far as I can tell.)

The precedent is there, for better or for worse. Also, I’m trying not to overlap names between AoE3 and Medieval 2 Total War, lmaoooooo. The Billman is a signature English unit there.

The “Modernization” shipment can replace them with a Soldado clone that fires grenades as a siege attack.

Incidentally, I’d also like to turn the Ranger into a Landwehr equivalent and give the British a different more zany Skirmisher via cards or a tech. WOL’s Artist Rifle is a neat idea for the unit’s basis. Maybe a 2-pop rifleman that acts like a Sentinel—stronger the closer to your base you are?

Buff granedier type units including arsonists

It’s a fine line between grenadier units being underpowered and completely op.

We still have November and December ahead of us; it wouldn’t be far-fetched to imagine a second DLC arriving by the end of this year or early next year. This could explain why there is so much content that didn’t make the final cut for the Baltic DLC, and it would also account for the high level of activity on SteamDB. Even if a new DLC doesn’t arrive soon, it’s quite possible that new content will be added to the base game, given the significant activity on SteamDB. Let’s hope the developers announce something soon.

P.S. I’m still waiting for the Irish revolution. :upside_down_face:
