Thanks to our friend TripGad gaming we can see how aoe4 looks with this awesome technology.
It reminds me a lot of how aoe4 looked in the 2019 trailer.

ok, now show me a lategame clip with tons of units and leave the FPS counter on, and no i’m not a DLSS fan, upscaling or otherwise, this one in particular costs you like 50 to 60% of your framerate (seen it cost up to 75%), and for what, how is this worth it
Its not worth using it to play with it, im just sharing how it looks graphically
I looked at a few random flips between normal and DLSS in the video and don’t really see very much difference. I was expecting it to look photo realistic or off-the-charts realistic or amazing. Maybe I missed examples of that by skipping around the timeline?
more like, here the demonstrator actually used very sensible config on dlss5 to keep the look similar but better, i just hate being blunt but i’ve done better with reshade with fraction of the performance cost
Yeah, it looks good, but I want to see you with that many units at once… the FPS are going to die…
the biggest change is textures, building textures and such, the artstyle doesnt change with DLSS.
Its cool but, here the demonstrator is just checking the graphical change, im sure performance was not accounted for in his tests, after all DLSS5 is an experimental technology, still cool as hell though
I only see changes in the lighting of the buildings and the color of some terrain.
This looks really good, but its an RTS you dont play very zoomed in, if you cant diferentiate units from the normal standpoint theres an issue there im sorry
Its mainly textures, they look more high res.
Indeed indeed, but the point of the thread is just to showcase the graphics, gameplay aside…
