Devs I would like to, per your request, express that new historically inspired medieval non-polity civilizations are something I love.

Devs: introduce new Chinese DLC 3 civs with 3 dynasties, Tang, Song, Ming.

Really sad to see even fan made civs are as gimmicky as officials. Why can’t anyone make a civ like classical civs?

I made mine more like that…and got complaints they were boring.

No winning it seems…

Yeah. All 5 have 80% similarities to OG AOK bonuses.

Sad. I wish all civs were as simple as pre-DE.

The rule of having unique bonuses should be ignored, what matters is how bonuses synergise together. This will lessen the need to find new gimmicks

That is extremely situational for an ability, only being relevant vs 2 UUs and 1 late-game civ.

personally 1-2 unique mechanics per civ is fine

Ive been designing civs classically for decades and no accolades yet. Go figure! If my creativity doesnt inspire those who have the modding skills that necer manifested in me and I have nobody talking about me with respect am I even important

Even still I don’t understand. I have more civ crafts than anyone alive and because a lack of mod talent aim not allowed to ascend or have them manifest

If a civilisation doesn’t add anything gameplay wise I don’t feel like it needs to be added to the the game. If we get a new DLC every year I want them to be fun and unique to play, not similar to any other civ.

But some of the new things in the DLC do feel a bit lackluster (hero’s are kinda boring imo, traction trebuchets should be bombard cannon replacements not treb replacements, new civs are overloaded with overcomplicated bonuses)

There is thread for new civs almost every week. You can create your own thread and post your civs.

Fair. But that doesn’t mean we need storm summoning monk.
