Considering that there’s the Turkic Horse Archer (though it only appears in the campaign), it’s definitely time that Horse Archer is a regional unit instead of a unique unit to the Rus because many civs historically used archers on horseback and as that becomes the case, the Mangudai and Onna-Musha would most certainly serve as replacements for the Horse Archer when playing as the Mongols and Japanese respectively (the Onna-Musha would not only serve as the replacement for the Crossbowman during that point but also the replacement for the generic Horse Archer unit as well). As the Horse Archer is to become a shared unit used by civs that historically deployed archers on horseback (but don’t have an archer on horseback unit), it can become availale to the Chinese, Delhi Sultanate, and Ottomans (if it doesn’t end up getting it’s own version of the Horse Archer). The Horse Archer would also be given to future civs that historically used archers on horseback as well (i.e., Maygars, Persians, Vietnamese). While turning the Horse Archer into a regional unit, some changes can be made like replacing the wood cost with the gold cost and increasing the HP.
