I don’t play MP so I couldn’t really answer you that but I think as long as all players in the same room have the same mod then there wouldn’t be any trouble.

Developers support mods to allow you to modify these minor (but really important) things, but using mods you can’t use multiplayer.
It would be really disappointing if the developer didn’t fix it.
