Basically, over the years I have read that China is very protective to add modern depictions of Tibet, but also I have read that Tufan empire (or Great Tibet empire) won’t be a problem cause was an historical empire.
Thoughts?

However, it’s Tubo, not Tufan. Chinese language has a different pronuncing rule in names.

Why risk getting the game banned in China?
They did not ban other history games with Tibetans in it, so it’s unlikely they would do it here.
If the Tibetans were to get the game banned in China, this whole DLC would as well.
On the second thought, I didn’t want to see a Tubo with current eastern asian architectures. It will be a disaster.
They need a new set.
I think dev will seek the advice of legal counsel

Don’t worry about banning due to Tibet…
They even make movies about Tubo Empire If i don’t wrong.
Not really, Jurchen, Khitan and Tanguts dont bring any sense of nationalism for the Chonese separatosts
If the Tibetans were added as Tufans and the Uyghurs as Yughurs they may avoid the game getting banned, but its risky
