If for any reason you have trouble playing intro videos at the start, or if you simply want to disable them to save time and improve loading times, do not worry; you needn’t delete those videos from the game directory either.

  • To completely disable intro videos for Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, add this line to the game’s launch parameters:
    NOSTARTUP

  • To do the same, but for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, simply add this line to the game’s launch parameters:
    SKIPINTRO

Try NOSTARTUP in launch options.
