Two empty "unknown app" DLCs at SteamDB: the next 2026 DLCs?

Heh…if only corporate America worked that way. They’d rather overwork less people so they don’t have as many people they’re paying benefits to, thats how all big companies work i’m afraid.

I think the greater issue is that more programmers doesn’t equate to more product when it comes to programming.

what does this signify?

The Viking dlc is adding some visual objects to the editor, maybe those things are being added into the Alexander Campaign maps?

It could also just be balance or bug updates.

Or it could be changes relating to a forth-coming chronicles dlc in the future.

That a modifaction has been made on Alexander dlc. Nothing more, nothing less. Can be anything from bugfix to translation fix to map enhancing, even rollback of things, we don’t know.

Interesting, the “September 22” release date has been removed from the page. I wonder if it’s because they leaked it by accident or if it was a mistake on the date.

The pre-order will drop this week, if they stick to their “pre-order this summer” plan, soon™. (Teaser to study soon :D)

Do you think they did a mistake? I was expecting the trailer a week ago. Now, I am not sure.

Yes it could be. Mistakes happens so easily, I mean a checkbox from 0 to 1 due to a mouse hover why pressing enter to send the form instead of focusing the “submit” button can definitly do it.

For the trailer it will only come with the pre-order. Based on AoE3 dlc schedule, it was obvious there was not going to be anything for our dlc until they finished all the “showcasing” of the AoE3 dlc content, showing units, deep dive on the civs etc. Economic strategy, to avoid overlapping the infos spreading.

If september 22 is the date, the pre-order may drop within the next 48 hours.

Big If. Sometimes whoever is handling the showcase or advertising for the upcoming content seems completely all over the place, with no structured plan. Either they’re really good at what they do and there’s some master plan I’m not seeing, or they’re just terrible at it, because from the outside, none of it makes much sense to me.

Today starts gamescom

Oh, so that could explain the september 22 release frame. The number of weeks between pre-order announcing and the release kinda match TODAY if it’s going to come on September 22. With Gamescom starting today, it’s definitly possible that the reveal occurs at their panel at the gamescom. It seems the microsfot stuff comes on the “ONL” live, that will occurs in approximatly 4 hours from now. So StayTuned™

Gamescon starts on August, 26th to be more precise.

I wonder which day will be devoted to Age of Empires!

No, It starts today: https://www.gamescom.global/en „The main event starts on the 26th, but Opening Night Live is tonight.“

Is there any mention that AoE will be on Gamescon this year?

They said pre-orders are coming later in the summer, so I’m assuming they will announce the pre-orders along with the trailer. And if I’m correct, “later in the summer” means by the end of August. Gamescom is happening until August 30th.

Age of Empires :cross_mark:
Age of Europe :white_check_mark:

Let’s hope Chronicles stop focusing on Europe after adding Romans.

Europe is Rome and the friends they made along the way :upside_down_face:

Chronicles is based on the Rome at war mod. Almost all civs are from around the Mediterranean.

And by the way we just had a South American dlc after a China dlc after a West Asia dlc after a Indian dlc… So not age of Europe at all.
