Typing on the Editor is inconvenient

The AOE2: DE Editor has a bad condition for typing descriptions. Its typing cursor is shown awkward like blinking at a wrong place, and even it sometimes doesn’t move left or right by pressing the arrow keys.

Further, typing in non-Romanized forms such as Korean is, frankly speaking, terrible.

Because of this, I text descriptions based on copy and paste, which is inconvenient and inefficient. I rather tried to mod strings, but it seems needlessly complex and nearly no information yet. So, I anyway need to yet use typing on the Editor under the bad condition.

The bad condition of texting on the Editor has been since the release of the Definitive Edition. It’s surprising that nobody had even talked about this so far given that even typing in English is not that good considering the typing cursor bar as I said above.

Nobody talks about it because it’s a scenario editor thing (and probably most designers use strings rather than writing text in the editor) although you can notice problems with the cursor even when typing cheats or messages in a normal game. It’s really baffling that after years it has not been fixed.

Then, I want people who know how to make custom strings to introduce about it. Even official campaign designers use in-game typing when they make custom campaigns. I heard creating custom strings is complex like requiring a dat file.

I actually have tried making my own strings, but failed because of this…
