Ultimate Potential New Civilizations Review

Yes, but it is more oral legend as much as the foundation of the Haudenosaunee Confederation…

P o l i t i c s, you can’t hate people that are the same as you, so spaming a different name and stablishing “distinctions” make wonders specially when the language was repressed so there is no one to counter argument

Tupi= Ñe’engatu Guaraní= Ava ñe’e
Have another example; the word Piraña is the most easy compound word to break, pira=fish and aña=evil/mad, share the root-word with ñaña=bad
Again, look in wikipedia and it says that is from “tupinamba” and is exactly the same except for aña wich weirdly says it means “tooth”, and I say weird because many compound words use that root-word and would loose the meaning

I don’t understand, what part of historical facts are oral legends?
The Tapeaviru wich was used to lead Alejo García to Perú?
The never-ending cicle of battles (and sporadic alliances) with the Toba-Qom?

The events that, not being written, are told orally from generation to generation…

Well, AoE2 now has Dravidians :eyes:

Patronizing without touching the point is lame, I know what a oral legend is, this is the part when at least should be point out which one you think are

And I guess the legends
who at least speak of the encounter with the conquistadors…not the previous ones that have mythological topics…

I’d like to see Juan Manuel de Rosas as the civ personality, he ruled earlier in the timeline, fought many many wars even defeating Britain and France, and would make more sense themtaically if the Argentinian civ was centered around gauchos, cavalry and cattle. I really don’t see Sarmiento or Mitre commanding gauchos, a people group they really despised xd.

That’s an answer I gave based on the AOE3 time frame, but it was already pointed out to me that developers don’t exclusively put presidents or monarchs of civilizations as AI personalities.

If Argentina becomes a civilization, I would put San Martín as leader, but it is not impossible that they put Rosas or Güemes.

José de San Martín

Martín Miguel de Güemes

Juan Manuel de Rosas.

Yes, I think they will use San Martín because he’s way more famous than any other Argentinian person from the period, even if it’s weird having a man who was never a politician or even interested in holding power as the leader of a civilization. Plus, in the old version of the game he was the leader of the Argentinian revolution, and they used the old Mexican leader as the personality for the full civ so there’s no doubt San Martín is gonna be it.

Well, I think we are drifting from the original theme, I think the next civilization could be Brazil, especially with the celebration of its 200 years.

Rosas in official history is somewhat controversial and divisive, although he defended the country from the Anglo-French blockade, he was also a tyrant who wanted to perpetuate himself in power at the expense of the national organization…because of him the country had 20 more years of division and civil war…although I do not rule out that it can be mentioned in a card as “La Mazorca” in fortresses age…

Yes, in addition he comes out in Civ 4 Colonization as leader of Argentina…

Sí,de hecho de haber sobrevivido al motín de Quillota,Portales pudo haber sido presidente en la década de 1860…

I think they are going to add Brazil, they have a fairly large community and now that they have completed 200 years of history is an excellent time to add them.

PS: I hope that at some point the developers add Argentina with San Martin as the leader of the civilization.

And Gran Colombians civ with Simon Bolivar as the leader of there.

That’s more or less how Wars of Liberty colombians work. The problem is they’re pretty much focused on the 19th century beyond the Independence Period although I see no big problem with that. Obviously the logical way is go for a focus with the Independence Period and Simon Bolivar campaigns.

I think it has potential first Gran Colombia 12 (1819-1831) years later it becomes the new Granada 29 years (1832-1861), then in this United States of Colombia 23 years (1863-1886) and finally in the Republic of Colombia (1886-to Present)
years the revolutions Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama

And you also have to complement it with a minor civilization, the Muiscas

It appears in CIV 4 Colonization and in CIV 6 too…

You can always lengthen the chronology:

Republic of New Granada (1831-1858)

Granadine Confederation (1858-1863)

United States of Colombia (1863-1886)

Internal divisions remained between the bipartisan political forces, occasionally igniting very bloody civil wars, the most significant being the Thousand Days’ War (1899–1902).[96]

20th century

The United States of America’s intentions to influence the area (especially the Panama Canal construction and control)[97] led to the separation of the Department of Panama in 1903 and the establishment of it as a nation

Republic of Colombia (1886-1903)

It would have to be like this:

  1. Exploration Age: Viceroyalty of New Granada - Wikipedia (1717-1810) (Guajira rebellions from 1701 to 1768 and Comunero revolt of 1781) (the first card gives you Carib units and the second card gives you Revolutionary units)

  2. Commerce Age: United Provinces of New Granada - Wikipedia (1810-1816) (Nariño campaign card what gives you 15 Revolutionary) (Revolutions of Cundimarca State,First and Second Venezuelan Republics)

  3. Fortresses Age: Gran Colombia - Wikipedia (1819-1831) (gives you the Bolivar heroe unit, the hospitals now creates troops how the Maltese hospitals and the Campaña Admirable card what gives you 15% more of INF attack) (Revolutions of New Granada,Venezuela and Ecuador)

  4. Industrial Age: Republic of New Granada to United States of Colombia (1831-1886) (Revolutions of the Istmo State,Granadine Confederation and the Colombian Regeneration card)

  5. Imperial Age: Republic of Colombia (1886-1903) (Thousand Days War and Revolution of Panama)

And the theme of civilization would have to be the Colombian anthem… National Anthem of Colombia - Wikipedia

realistically? i imagine brazil because we know 1 of the devs want to add it and because it makes sense with the factions they have added so far. 1 new world nation, 2 faction DLC, 1 NWN, etc.

obviously if i had to choose id choose either:

denmark+poland

persia

kongo

id like any of those factions, there are a few others i could imagine could be added. they are also just all important and interesting in their own way.

I think we should vote on the civs that will come out later.
