My campaign savegame of Iwaljo Chapter 5 won’t load after latest patch got applied (Might not be the cause though, just got installed in between saving and trying to load).
I don’t seem to be able to provide my savegame here as the upload won’t accept its file type.
It is usual in AOE 2, that replays and savegames from older versions of the game don’t work on newer versions.
For example people can’t play recordings from first versions of AOE 2 anymore.
So don’t get too attached to your savegames/replays and try to finish scenario before updating the game 
Sure, I would not bother complaining about an old AoE 2 save not working anymore. But I started the the game this morning in definitive edition, at noon a patch release of definitive edition came along and in the afternoon I was unable to load it. I don’t think this is to be expected.
