Issue:
With the latest update on May 27th, 37650 version I can no longer subscribe to any mod. I tried to update some mods but they do not update, just circle keep loading, then I unsubscribe them try to re-subscribe only did I know the “Browse Mod” section also circle keep going, nothing loads.
Things I have tried:
- Reinstall the game
- Reinstall Steam
- Reinstall all the latest VC++ and Net frame work
- Finally, I used another laptop has windows 8 as well, do a clean window install. Then installed both Steam and AOE2:DE and I still have the same problem.
This is a serious problem if we windows 8 (NOT 8.1) user cannot play the game properly, it was fine before the update now we can no longer download mods.
Reproduction Steps:
Here’s how to reproduce the problem:
- be on windows 8, NOT 8.1
- clean window install
- steam and aoe2de install
- run game, try to download any mod.
- no mod will show up.
