Using Control or Shift with a special mouse button hotkey combo doesn't work

I have a mouse with two extra buttons than usual, both of which I use. One does Select all TCs, and the other cycles idle villagers. I decided, to make things easier, I would make “Select All idle villagers” either shift + my mouse button, or control + my mouse button. The game lets me keybind it, but it doesn’t actually seem to have an effect, and won’t do anything when I press the combo.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Find a mouse with additional buttons, referred to in-game as extra button 1, extra button 2, etc.
  2. Keybind “Select all idle villagers” to Shift + Extra Button 1, or Control + Extra Button 1. It will presumably work with other extra buttons, other key combos, and other hotkeys to bind to, but I haven’t tested it.
  3. Try and select all your idle villagers using the keybind.

:point_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?

I would expect the select all idle villagers to work properly if I include my mouse buttons and another key.

I am having the same issue described. There are other instances of users having this issue and trying to use autohotkey as a work around. Alt + Extra Button does not have this same issue and works as intended.

I have this problem since the Indians Dynasties DLC was installed. Are some news about this or we never get a solution about it? It’s really annoying

This is still a thing and I hate it.

Please, I just want to press my mouse buttons w/ extra buttons on top.
