I really don’t know if this is a bug or just how things are, but either way, I will report it as a bug because it really disrupts the gameplay for anyone.

Example: You queue the research to increase attack (weapons), but you don’t have the resources yet to improve armor and shields, so you have two options: Wait until you have the necessary resources or add them to the queue. (This marvelous invention of Retold we all love)

Here’s the problem now: You add it to the queue while the weapons research is already in progress, but when it reaches 99%, you end up getting the necessary resources to research armor and shields! The problem is this: The ongoing research stops at 99% to start a new research from scratch.

Why does the last icon we click on have higher priority in the research queue? Shouldn’t it be the opposite? If I right-click on 3 items in this order: (1) Weapons, (2) Armor, and (3) Shields, shouldn’t it research item number (1) first? What did I click first? Why does the priority go to item (3) that I clicked for last?

Usually it queues them and the first one finishes researching before the next one in the line starts. But maybe they swapped that? Which doesn’t make much sense. Because if you have enough resources, you’d usually click them in the order of priority, not reverse priority

Exactly my point! This reverse order doesn’t make sense.

Yeah, it works likes this across the board, I just had a game where I thought my mythic age was bugged because it froze half-way as I had just gathered enough resources to research my pre-queued fortified town centres XD

I don’t know what’s best tbh. If there’s something you wan’t asap then this way makes sense, practically this use case seems very rare for me though. Most of the time I would also prefer if the pre-queue respected the clicked order.
