[Vikings] Pasture & Loom Armor Research Permanently Stuck After Completing Hrafn's Raid Saga

  • Build Number: 17.0.12182

  • Platform: Steam

  • Operating System: Windows 11

Issue:

When playing as the Vikings, completing Hrafn’s Raid Saga while an armor technology is still being automatically researched by a Pasture & Loom attachment on a Longhouse causes the research to become permanently stuck.

The affected armor technology never finishes researching, and its research progress does not resume.

I attempted several ways to resolve the issue, but none worked:

  • Deleted the affected Longhouse and constructed a new one.

  • Installed a new Pasture & Loom attachment on the newly constructed Longhouse.

  • Advanced to the next Age to see whether the research would resume.

Even after these attempts, the affected armor research remained stuck and could not be completed.

Trigger Event:

The issue occurs when Hrafn’s Raid Saga is completed while a Pasture & Loom attachment is in the middle of automatically researching an armor technology.

Hrafn’s Raid Saga provides a bonus to the research speed of Pasture & Loom and Smithy. However, activating this bonus during an ongoing armor research appears to interrupt the research process permanently.

Repro Steps:

  1. Start a match as the Vikings.

  2. Advance to the Feudal Age.

  3. Construct a Longhouse and add the Pasture & Loom attachment.

  4. Allow the Pasture & Loom to begin automatically researching an armor technology.

  5. Before the ongoing armor research is completed, fulfill the requirements of Hrafn’s Raid Saga by destroying two enemy economic or technology buildings.

  6. Complete Hrafn’s Raid Saga while the armor research is still in progress.

  7. Observe that the ongoing armor research becomes stuck and never completes.

  8. Delete the affected Longhouse, construct a new Longhouse, and install another Pasture & Loom attachment. Observe that the affected armor research still cannot be completed.

  9. Advance to the next Age. Observe that the issue persists and the research does not resume.
