Villager randomly froze when mining. I have to manually move the nearby villager to unfreeze.

Not sure yet. But you could try putting 10 villagers on an L-shaped collection of mines and observe.

Spirit of the Law also noticed that after this patch villagers could take a long walk to find a suitable spot to gather resources. And they could still be trapped.
