I think it is unrealistic to expect developers to change the building assets after release. The best I hope for is that our criticisms help point future games in the right direction.
In this case some buildings could be redesigned due some buildings are defective due to bugs in the development process and could not be fixed before the release date due to lack of time.
Next possible AoEs will not be on medieval age. I like the medieval Age, is because this that i fight this issue so much. If Devs dont fix It, we Will not have other Medieval AoE anymore.
Yeah, I hope AoE 5 is in the 20th centuryā¦since the game before AoE 4 is AoEO and itās set in ancient times and AoE 3 doesnāt feel old enough to make another game in pre-modern timesā¦
I think, better an AOE5 based on ancient times would be really welcomed!
AOE1 is dead now. AOEO did not work well and has a very tiny player base, even AOE3 is larger compared to this game!
Would like to play with Romans, Egyptians, Chinese, Japanese, Sumerians, Greeks, Iberians, Carthaginians, Persians and so on
I would love mid-Classical ages to mid-Medieval. Thatās a time period that hasnāt been covered in a single AoE game so far. Imagine going from chariots all the way to trebuchets. One of the many problems I have with AoE4 is the overuse of gunpowder, getting too close to AoE 3ās period.
Well, AOE4 covers a longer path in history between proto-medieval to late renaissance
So yeah, there you have it!
Ancient time could be (but I dont think that we would have any other AoE game in much time). But we wont have other medieval AoE anymore.
Its by this that we must get the devs to fix the visual aspects in AoE4
Honestly, if they announced AOE5 and it is still medieval, Iād be really disappointed.
Iād give AOE4 a pass on that because it is a reboot and it is understandable they went for the āsafe modeā. But as AOE4 has been pretty successful commercially, there is no such excuse for the next game.
Just not yet, maybe in a couple of years
Who knows
We are going to have AOM Retold instead!
You and more people. That an hypothetical AoE5 would be in Medieval age would have no sense.
And would be very bad decision in all terms
You know there are AOE2 and AOE4 setting in medieval!
A third one would be a disaster!
Yep!
I hate all the gunpowder units, they have too fast attack speed and perfect accuracy, making them dull and fake.
I would prefer an AoM 2 before an AoE in ancient times, then a modern AoEā¦
And but there we would have three games from the saga in ancient times: 1 DE, AoEO and according to you, AoE 5ā¦ risk a little moreā¦
Normal, once you get to the Renaissance, the massive use of gunpowder beganā¦
Of course, the important thing would be that they no longer touch the medieval period and dedicate themselves to improving AoE 4 and think of AoE 5 in another historical periodā¦ Ensemble Studios wanted to do it in the 20th century, start thereā¦
Sure, AoM Retold this year and AoE 5 in 2027ā¦
Sure, AoM Retold this year and AoE 5 in 2027 (so in that time AoE 4 could receive 12 new civs from all over the world)ā¦
Yes, as it happens in AoE 3 that gunpowder units have perfect aim and they shoot you in one xdā¦
Monastery (one of the production buildings that was reduced from 4x4 to 3x3)
Things modified
Final result: (playability not damaged)
In the followin days i going to make a ggigant proportions topic with all that has been already spoken
Look at how beautiful the game could be if they just had stuck to the proportions we have in AoEO and the earlier games. Well done.
āBut itās still not perfectly realistic. But it has much more technical difficulties than you think of. But itās of low priority.ā
