I’d like to ask This:
If I have a champion soldier (so a “gold” hoplite for example) and then I research “iron weapons” why do I still have “gold” (or yellow) spears?
In the old AoM when I research the iron weapons I get iron spears (color grey).
Is it just me who finds this thing weird?
I ask this because I’m creating a historical battle and I want it to be as realistic as possible.

  • iron armor should have a different colour too but this wasn’t the case for old AoM either
  • its not historically accurate. its not even mythologically accurate. its primarily fantasy
  • if you want to like and play the game accept the two points above

This was the case in the beta, where each piece of armor/weapon would visually change according to the research you did. They removed it on the final release, but there is a mod for it in the mod browser. Check the mod files and see for yourself what is the change that did that.

I played the original AoM for over 15 years and waited for this new AoM for 6 years… Do you really think I will not play this AoM just for these little details? xD
