How is pacific islands a thing? It’s a really horrible map. I understand migration, but a water map with almost no wood, and continual island hopping? How was that chosen, or even added to the game?

Just load up a game in SP. I mean, it’s interesting, but I think it is really strange as a map.
I see three instaban maps, and for those single queueing, I’m sorry, you only get to ban one of them.
(Nomad, steppe which is also nomad, and mega random which has the possibility to be nomad, have animal scouts or double town center starts, etc.)
The rest of the map pool looks fantastic tho, so I suggest queueing with a team so you can ban the entirely separate game modes entirely.
That is not true. Nomad maps are fine, and don’t need a separate queue. Megarandom is also fine. If I was to ban any map, it would be Pacific Islands. Not enough wood yet a water map. I don’t mind water maps, but Pacific Islands is just bad.

The voting of the maps has to be integrated into the game. Since most of the players do not participate in the vote.
And this small participation of the players in the vote, does not give the correct feedback. thanks

I file Steppe under semi-Nomad, since your Villagers all start on the same spot surrounded by fixed resources.
Nomad is nomad, regardless of how close it may become to other modes.
It could be death match nomad, and it would still be nomad.
And that is fine. Most people don’t have a problem. Only you, because you can’t play it in the same way/level you play other maps.
