War Wagons and Hussite Wagons behave very differently despite both looking very similar.
I think that somewhat also extends to the Ratha.
All of those units also have in common that the civilisations that can build them are in more or less bad state right now.
How about giving all of them a shared Wagon Armour class.
Hussite Wagon would basically stay the same:
- Siege weapon
- Gunpowder Unit
- Unique unit
- Wagon
War Wagon would change to:
- Archer
- Unique Unit
- Wagon
Ratha would change to:
- Archer
- Cavalry
- Unique Unit
- Wagon
What units should have an attack bonus against Wagons:
- Spearman Line (And other similar units like the Kamyuk)
- Scorpion Line (And other units shooting bolts including the War Wagon itself)
- Bombard Cannon (Cannon Galleon and Bombard Tower too)
What units should not have a bonus against Wagons:
- Camels
- Mangonel line
- Skirmisher
The stats of those 3 units would need to be adjusted for that change.
Hussite Wagons wouldn’t change much. They now take bonus damage from Spearman and Scorpions instead of Mangonels.
So their base stats should be improved to make up for that. The unit is pretty useless in most situations right now.
War Wagons would become more resistant against Skirmishers. Making them less agile would give them more of a tanky role instead of just being a big Cavalry Archer.
Ratha would become more resistant against Skirmishers, which is especially helpful for the melee version. But they would have to be double careful with Spearman since they keep the Cavalry armour class.
