That’s true… although in the case of AoE 3 they accepted the criticism and corrected it for the expansions…

Well read the answer that interests you or pass it by then… It takes me about an hour to do it, but I got used to it and I like the information I get and I always wait for the answers of many who like my super posts xd…
And besides that Assassin’s Creed is from 2007 and AoE 3 from 2005…although they are very fun games and have a lot of historical information in Shaun and Rebecca’s entries… I am now playing AC Syndicate (for the coronation of Charles III) and literally every important building in London has a historical entrance that gets you quite immersive…

Yes, I know. I’m not sure whether it would be better to base it on the original or DE versions of the scenarios, some of which are radically different. The DE version moved the timeline much further back, which made sense for AoE1 but doesn’t for AoE2.
Then there’s the problem that neither AoE1 not AoE2 units looks particularly Japanese. East Asian civs were my favourites back in AoK/The Conquerors, but nowadays they feel a bit underdeveloped somehow.
I think the way you do it now is better. My only complaints would be when you quote dozens of posts at once only to say “I agree”, which is what the like buttons are for xD
It may also be a bit uncalled for when you make a long possibly copy pasted info dump with hyperlinks everywhere to reply to someone who was saying the same thing as you but more concise. It often feels like you’re trying to educate people on things they most probably already know to an extent, and it takes a lot of space in the conversation. Usually those kind of long elaborate info dump posts work better as an introduction to a new thread, imo, this way you’re sure only people who are actually interested in those informations will have to go through it.
EDIT: I don’t say this to be mean, it’s just that I can see your enthusiasm and your willingness to contribute to interesting conversations and I think you could channel them in ways that the community may enjoy more (and that would cause you less irritated comments).

Could you PLEASE stop editing your posts even two days later to add more quotes from me or editing my quotes? I receive notifications every damn time and unlike some people I would like to enjoy my time on those forums without having to constantly think about my most unpleasant interactions. I already told you in DM’s and you chose to ignore me, I would like things to end there but it can’t happen if I keep receiving notifications bringing me back to this dispute even if no one else notices it.

Byzantines have a lot of potential (Justinian, Belisario, Conmenos or somebody related to the Byzantine - Persian wars)
And the same the other way around, Persians need their own campaign

Definitely. Who do you have in mind? I think the best candidates would be Kavad I or his son Khosrow I (although the Historical Battle of Bukhara already happened during his reign, so maybe I would lean a bit more towards Kavad)

That is only true, as I wrote with @TommoChocolate. Why are you as a Mod biased? You are also violating the Terms of use, but the people here do not seem to care. It really sucks, what is going on here.
The Dark Ages mostly correspond to Late antiquity, there is nothing to think about. These are historical facts.
Now you are saying the opposite, but the Ancient part is definitely true…
Well, so far I have never had any messages from people complaining about this until today…
And further I know, that you can adjust the notifications in the settings, if you want to be informed or not. Obviously it is not always like that, at least not for people, who have a mobile version but this is not my issue…

Yes, I think that if they carry them they will not vary much…Filtydelphia ported the customs campaigns from AoE 1 to RoR and do not vary much except that now they have dialogues in the missions, example in the story of the Exodus Moses speaks to his people…
Of course, in AoE 1 and AoE 2 there are no units that you say are Japanese, they are generic units of AoE 1 and AoE 2, not even the buildings are saved from that…

Turks: Mehmed II (1444-1481)
Chinese: Taizong (626-649)
Japanese: Oda clan (1560-1581)
Koreans: Taejo of Goryeo (918-943)
Mayans: Pakal the Great (615-683)/Lady Six Sky (682-741)
Magyars/Croats: Matthias Corvinus (1458-1490)
Slavs: Alexander Nevsky (1240-1259)
You can always customize notifications so you don’t get all notifications…

Good list. All of them are pretty good candidates. I would add a few alternatives to some of those civs:
Vikings:Canute the Great. He ruled the “North Sea Empire”
Magyars: Louis of Hungary
Slavs: Vladimir the Great
And also
Byzantines: Justinian I or Alexios I. The first is more famous, but the second IMO better represents the Byzantine civ.
Romans: I like your suggestions of a “Last Romans” composite campaign with Stilicho, Flavius Aetius and Majorian, three men who almost restored Rome’s greatness but were ultimately betrayed and killed. This campaign could also feature some crossovers with Attila and Alaric.

You go to your user, then preferences and then notifications and there you customize what kind of notifications you want to receive…
