Issue:
The mythic age hero “Wen Zhong” from the chinese major god “Shennong” cant deal damage to units that are moving away from the position where he is currently doing his attack animation. This is most likely due to the length of the attack animation coupled with centering the damage on the unit itself instead of on the enemy unit that is being attacked by Wen Zhong.
I would love to upload some gifs or videos to showcase the issue/bug but the upload limit is incredibly small.
Trigger Event:
There isnt really a trigger event; simply right click the hero Wen Zhong on any unit is either running from him or wait for his attack animation to start and THEN move away from Wen Zhon. He wont be able to deal dmg to any unit that is either already running from him or starts running once he does the attack wind-up.
Repro Steps:
- Player 1 picks Shennong and ages up to mythic/age4, creates the hero Wen Zhong.
Player 2 picks any god and simply creates some units or villagers (any unit will do for this demonstration). - Player 1 selects the hero Wen Zhong and issues an attack command on a running unit or villager.
- We can observe that the running unit or villager wont ever take damage from the hero Wen Zhon if its base movespeed has a certain value (I tested this with Dao Swordsmen and Villagers and they could evade all dmg, both being somewhat slow units).
- Additionally the 2nd player can also bait the attack animation and “kite” Wen Zhon infinitly because he can always trigger the attack windup from When Zhon then simply move his units backwards (out of the AoE centered on Wen Zhong).
