Well it depends of what is doing the malian, malian would usually go for fast castle then spam musofadi or javelin thrower or whatever.
You have two options, spam longbow+horsemen or boom to castle. You have to keep in mind also that malian should put their houses on gold veins, so it’s not a bad idea get 5-6 horsemen and use them to burn these houses, while you attack from other sides.
Other thing you can do is fast castle + maa spam. English eco is perfect for a maa rush, because your farms provides infinite food while maa doesn’t cost a lot of gold.
Musofadi counters maa, so you can mix maa and longbows to kill the musofadis, and use the maa to kill the javeln throwers.
Maa are also pretty good to dive into TCs and defensive structures and kill eco.
Also, dark age tower rush with maa is pretty strong against malian, they will probably try to get farimba and spam units using gold, if you stop his gold income then the game is over for him.
