What is the point of the physical torii gate?

I’m confused by this GP? I have so many questions! Can anyone explain to me why there is a physical building associated with this GP? What does it do? I get that the power gives you an instant free cast of all other powers and the lowers their cost to recast. And the gate can be captured by enemies. What what happens when this occurs? They get free instant casts and reduced cost? What if the gate changes hands many times? Does it trigger the effect often? Why would you want multiple gates?

Can someone explain the intended use of the physical torii gate please?

Casting the god power gives you 1 free use for all your other god powers.

Controlling the gate gives you a discount on recasting.

No idea what happens when you recast the gate.

I’ll do some testing and see if I can figure it out

Per cast you get a recast of your GPs much like the DIVINE INTERVENTION cheat, and a reduction of your GP cost. So, multiple gates are beneficial. If a player captures the gate, they just get the GP cost reduction, they don’t get a free recast of their other GPs - that only applies when you cast the Torii gate.
