What’s steamdb aoe3de happen

I would say exactly the same thing, any civilization they add would break the game unless they resume maintenance and that’s not going to happen.

That’s why I have a theory that they won’t add any civilizations, since it’s highly unlikely they’ll resume maintenance. Besides, several forum users are, and rightly so, upset about how we were treated in past events, so I think that even if they released the DLC, few would want to buy it.

The best thing they could do is give away the civilizations as an apology and resume maintenance for two years to fix as much as possible, but I think that’s practically impossible.

Personally, I think it’s just a patch that will bring a few new things, although I’m being overly optimistic in thinking we’ll get anything; it could very well be nothing at all.

I feel the most sensible thing to do right now would be to first wait for a balance and bug fix patch, and maybe some new cards, and in the best-case scenario, some overall quality-of-life improvements for the game. Then, after a patch with these features arrives, they might add new content in the future, like the Poland and Denmark DLC, or perhaps a new civilization. In any case, the first thing would be to wait for a patch, assuming the developers are working on Age of Empires III support again, which I sincerely doubt given how they’ve treated the game these last two years. Even so, I remain optimistic and hope there will be something new for Age of Empires III in the coming months.

Another option would be to hand over development of the game to another company to handle game support and add new content. I don’t think it’s fair to keep a game that many people still play and love and do absolutely nothing for it. I think what W.E. is doing with the title is unfair. The most sensible thing would be to at least give us one last patch that justifies all the time they haven’t supported the game and give us a great DLC as a farewell. That way, they would regain the fans’ trust and close this chapter in a kinder and more cordial way.

2 new ones in the last 24h

I feel like posting here every time there’s movement is unnecessary and quite frankly, spammy. This could go on for the next 6 months. A watched pot never boils.

Instead of obsessing about SteamDB, a better use of our time is to keep the pressure up on the various social media platforms.

I think the real-time updates from the guy mentioned earlier at least give everyone a little hope, and also allow the forum discussions to focus more on the game itself rather than gossip unrelated to the game.

There is another one today about an hour ago

Yo tenía pensado portear las campañas azteca, inca y portuguesa en un dlc no oficial ahora en el verano pero ahora entro en semana de finales y lo veo díficil…

Yes, for now we have to be realistic and keep our expectations low…

Yes, anything is possible…

True, i just wanted to mention the increase in pace. 3 updates in 24 hours is a huge increase. Overall it feels like the frequency is slowly building up week by week since january

I appreciate the updates. I stated a while back that my “no update” concern would be a stop in updates (and seeing/hearing nothing for like a month). The steady stream suggests work is happening.

In the aoe2 patch notes I found a hint for a potential Viking dlc and there is also 2 current dlc being worked on for aoe2. One is likely another Chronicles dlc but the other could be swedes and dances for example. With the work on aoe3 recently, maybe they will combine it in the second half of this year or early next year with the Baltic dlc. Since they would need the voice lines for danes for example for both games, they could recycle some assets.

What hints did you see

And yeah hopefully they add the dlc to 3 as well

this is it. the “viking” architecture garrison flag is not used in the game at all. they also dont have a unique architecture to begin with. so it is strange that they made one.

And there is also the work ongoing for a aoe4 dlc with also the Vikings

You do realize that putting a flag in aoe2 has no bearing on aoe3 and/or aoe4, right?

It probably doesn’t but if vikings are coming to others then it wouldn’t take a lot to turn that to aoe 3
