I am very excited about the upcoming Baltic DLC but that leaves me wondering if Microsoft will continue to develop more DLC and what civ should be next? IMO, I would love to see fully playable Greek and Egyptian civs next. Another Civ that would be interesting is Austria-Hungary. What do you all think?

We need to concentrate on civs that had impact and did exist during the time and are not in the same at all.
Persia is the most important empire, that is missing from the game.
Siam would be needed to represent South East Asia, which is currently completely missing.
We also have no Arab civs. Moroccans and omani would be possible.
Other candidates would be Afghans, usbeks, Koreans and Vietnamese.
Europe in my opinion is complete and could only get some more revolutions but no new civs and no new maps. Africa and Asia are much more lacking.

Eh, honestly some maps from KoTM are missing like Gibraltar and Balaeric Islands + others like Sicily, English Channel and Adriatic so I think only European revs and maps are fine to be added in updates.
I guess they will come either as just updates or with an Moroccans civ. It’s a bit suspicious that they added so many island maps for the Baltic powers but not these 2.
They also did not add the ural mountains , which I guess will come with an Asia dlc.
But what I meant is, there is not enough room for a full new DLC. Europe has already an enormous amount of maps. If you compare it to Asia, it becomes obvious.

Yes, now it’s Asia’s turn, no matter what… all the other continents have received new civs in the DE, but Asia is still stuck with the same three since 2007, and on top of that, except for Japan (which also recently received an “modernization” upgrade with the Meiji Restoration), they’re a strange mix of Ming-Qinq units (China) and Mughal-EIC units (India)…
Mexico, Central and South America are extremely underrepresented compared to everywhere else, to the point where we made a thread with potential new maps and other content for those regions:
Asia also needs more content (and a rework of the current civs, if I had my way), but even they have more content than South America.
Nah, Japan needs more as well. The rework of the Meiji Restoration tech is really just about the Meiji Restoration tech. The rest of the civilization is still ass.
Expanding Africa or Asia seems the most likely next possible place…South East Asia seems ripe in my opinion
Or we could have another Colonial America in Brazil…on it’s own or as a bundle with USA and Mexico. Honestly I’m not fond of this option..

The most known settings are Discovery Age, Golden Age of Piracy, Independence of American Colonies, Industrial Age, and all the wars the Thirty Years War, The Seven Years War, Napoleonic Wars and so on and for
And as a Civ I would bet for Persia/Siam/Korea/Morocco which was cutt on TAR
I entirely request for another Native American Civ plus an overhaul to Native American Civs,

I agree Greece and Egypt are not major powers during the game’s time span but when I do revolt to play Egypt or any other Civ, it just feels like your playing the source Civ with some independence units. I feel like revolts lack the character of the revolting nation. Just my opinion. I feel like if we can have playable Civs like Malta and Italy, we can have Greece and Egypt as full playable Civs.
I don’t know about a full standalone Greece, but I personally think Egypt could work as a standalone civ.
They should at least add Greece as a revolution and rework Indonesian units so they actually speak Javanese/Malay and don’t have a WWII weapon (the Javanese Spearman’s bamboo spear) just because it looks archaic.
They should also remove pirate elements from Haiti and Inca elements from Peru. If they want Pirate and Inca revs, they should make Pirate and Inca revs.

I totally agree that there is a lack of Central/South American Maps. I also feel like Central and South America is under represented from a Civ standpoint. The only Civ representing South America are the Inca. I think, specifically, South America need at least one more representative. Perhaps another Native Nation or one of the young Nations like Argentina or Brazil.
On the topic of Natives, I wouldn’t mind seeing more Native Nations represented across North, Central and South America.

Additionally, Aztecs and Incas have no reason to share gameplay mechanics with each other or Lakota+Haud, especially since people think potential MENA civs should have a civ model from all current culture groups. If it’s based on proximity and shared culture, and not just continent, it makes no sense for four cultures that never really interacted to share mechanics just because all of them were in a territory 42,549,000 km2 across before Europeans met any of them.

Yes, in AoE 2 after The African Kingdoms we had Rise of the Rajas…in AoE 3, now that we have all of Europe, it’s time to have our own “Rise of the Rajas”…
That’s out of the question…they could have added campaigns since 2020 and they never did (only historical battles and now not even that, just historical maps)…I have more faith in the campaigns I create for the game than in the devs themselves…
Yes, I agree… create new revolutions/civs like Greece and the Pirate Republic (the Inca elements from Peru can be removed, since that’s what the Incas are for, and replaced with Bolivian elements)…
