What we want in upcoming PUP

Feel free to express what do you think need to nerf, buff, change, and balance in upcoming patch/PUP. Everyone can have an opinion.

What i personally want to see in upcoming Patch/Season/PUP

  • UI/UX optimization
  1. Better Raid Ping System, the system can be very silent when our villager are dying, map awareness is a thing tho. But the ping won’t happen unless villager start taking damage so the response won’t be as fast as someone who pay attention to the minimap and scout optimally.
  • Visual Optimization
  1. New Appearance of Gaia depending of the biome, maybe sheep to goat (no pig herdable , as islamic civ can’t consume pig) , boar to a different kind of pig (something that is still haram to islamic civ, something like crocodile or carnivorous animal will also do, as it is also haram), Wolf to Lion, Deer to zebra or antelope, but i already love the current state of the game, especially with new rendering on PUP, it feels so smooth and nice. Well done dev. Thank you very much for all your effort in designing this game.
  • Balance Change (All Civ)
  1. Can rally Villager to garrison in the town center after being produced, will help against barbican rush or just when you’re being pushed very hard
  2. Same Thing with production, but the ungarrisoned troops cannot garrison anymore, something like AoE2, will help when your production being camped on. Will make some comeback possible after being pushed.

Keshik needs a buff.
I don’t want the weak, useless, and expensive Keshig…
That risks its hp to heal hp…

In DOTA2 and LOL (MOBA’s) etc it makes sense, but in AOE4, with such slow and low attack damage, it won’t make a difference at all.

better balance between civ, some civ are just so unfairly weak and lack of gameplay mechanic

I wish they could take the thing with the sacred site icons being smaller and apply it to cast games. Also do the same thing in the top left victory conditions panel. Just show a few small icons instead of all the text and make the icons only appear when relevant. No need to keep the wonder info up there until one is built. Maybe make it minimizeable if anyone actually needs the text, but I doubt all the text is ever really needed.

Well, you can write all your suggestion here, what civ are weak, what unit need buff, what tech or landmark is too strong, what mechanic that is too unreliable.

french as axample are good, but compared to other civ that get an eco boost (like abbassid) , or military production (like dehli) you get overwelmed and can’t really do something to counter, they buff the french merchants in the pup but it simply doesn’t work because you will loose eco and military advantage, i’m china main, they buff NOB and grenadier in the pup but you get them a age 3 and 4 meanwhile in age 2 you get crushed by HRE or english because they spam MAA and you get nothing to counter, tried mongol for testing their new unit in the pup, fun to #### #### ### what they have? nothing, even their silver tree got nerf and keshik is… weak meanwhile other civ can spam better knights, i won’t talk about malian and ottoman that are beyond broken, and even not all civ will be great on all map and against each other with fair match up, in my opinion its kind of a luck because you can either picked a civ that is good on certain map and against certain civ but will get crushed by the others, what i want to say its great to have totally different civ but giving some civ too much buff and nerf hard the rest break the game if you see what i mean (sorry if bad english, not my main language )

Well, I’m chinese main and i think they’re in pretty good spot in the PUP. They have too much gold early on that zhuge spam is actually easier than feudal MAA spam, and their eco boost is not as slow as abbasid, sure abbasid eco can be bigger and stronger with trade especially in TG, but chinese eco boost just come way faster. IO is very good tho, for eco and defense, as having more resource mean more unit to defense, and supervising production is kinda broken as supervised archery range/stable actually beat council hall, especially chinese built their production building faster.

Just to note in PUP onward your zhuge cost so few amount of gold but a bit more food that is actually possible to age up with just 3 miner while defending with spear and zhuge, and barbicanning deer pack or boar and woodline become more important as you will run out of food faster.

Actually, chinese defense is not that bad, HRE will have much more struggle against other feudal powerhouse (though their pace is so much faster)

And late game chinese is busted, everyone know that, now with change to imperial palace and spirit way, you can easily collect around 200+ gold per minute from proxy granary tax, and zhuge cost only 20 golds make it spammable even when gold is no more on the map if you got just a bit of relic as long as you make spear. Adding the list of spammable unit (fire lancer and palace guard), and oh boy, grens is back, and NoB is buffed, what a great patch to play in.

Well feudal defense will become quite a bit harder tho, as chinese usually have proxy drop off building thing that can be used by khesik to heal on,

Khesik is good tho, very good, it is much more spammable in feudal, can heal while raid, well, as mongols you don’t want yo drag the game too long tho, qmd you will use siege+infantry in imperial

But feel free to write off what your opinion on what to change, example:

-French

  1. Increase the villager production rate

-Mongols

  1. Buff the HP of khesik

Or whatever your opinion is

mongols:
hp buff for the keshik, it could also have a tech that increase their attack speed

french:
they have tech that reduce cost of cavalery and archery range units in the influence of a keep
( Enlistment Incentives)
it could also apply for artillery school, in the influence of the artillery school siege engines cost are reduced in siege workshop
i would see maybe a tech available in age 2 making villager producing faster or gather more ressources

chineese:

Reusable Barrels: i prefer before the pup, when NOB cost were reduced,
Astronomical Clocktower could be able to be supervised by the IO

rus’:
hunting cabin got nerfed too much, once in season 4 and now with the PUP
